CAVALIER Chronicle

It's a Great Week to be a Cavalier!
Happy Sunday Cavalier Families!
We hope you are having a good weekend and enjoying the beautiful day today.
As we start a new week, I want to reassure you that we take the safety and well-being of all students very seriously. We appreciate your support and understanding on Friday--I know that it was an emotional day for many of you (and for our staff as well). We spent time Friday afternoon reviewing our safety protocols to reinforce a secure and structured environment. If your child has expressed any concerns or needs additional support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our counseling or administrative team. We are here to help and want to ensure that every student feels comfortable moving forward.
This week is the end of Black History Month and we have a special program this Thursday, February 27th to celebrate. We encourage families to join us! We hope that you will also join us in finding ways to honor Black history year-round.
We are also closing out this month's CKH theme of Spark the Heart. We are encouraging students to take 30 seconds and give affirmations--words to uplift others. At home, you can support us by giving your student an affirmation this week--we are the role models that they look to!
We are also continuing to emphasize the importance of effort in achieving success. Whether it’s in academics, friendships, or personal growth, we are encouraging students to keep pushing forward and recognize that perseverance leads to achievement.
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us create a positive and enriching environment for all students. We appreciate you!
**The Sweetheart Dance has been rescheduled to Friday, February 28th at 5PM. The previously sold tickets will be honored for the dance. The previous message about the reschedule had the wrong date.
We are looking forward to a Cav-tastic week with your students!

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Map for Cars and Buses
Please notice the drop off and pick up areas for cars at CPMS. For the safety of our students, please do not drop off in the bus loop.
Parents/Guardians should only be driving in the yellow area indicated on the map.
The red area is for buses only. Parents who enter the red area are putting students and staff at risk as there is limited visibility when buses are present.
We appreciate your support in enforcing the KISD Student Code of Conduct!
Student Code of Conduct cards were sent home this past week. Please make sure that you have read over the SCOC so that you know the expectations for behavior.
