💜🏴☠️💜🏴☠️Hello Pirates!
As I reflect on my year at East, I can honestly say that when I think of the word community: I don't think that describes who we are down in Rupert Idaho. "Family" resonates with me more than any other word. I feel like together, we simply share that bond: A shared responsibility to keep one another safe and to make sure our neighbors feel valued. I feel like this because no matter the need, someone always steps in. This isn't just evidenced here at the school. Honestly, it's everywhere I look. I see it daily at the grocery store. I even see it during my evening strolls. It simply amazes me at just how much we as a collective are reflective of that down to earth, good neighbor: Great family atmosphere. I/ we are so humbled for our community.
One thing that stands out to me is that the same way we show up for our families at home is the way we show up for each other and for our students. When someone needs support, others step in without hesitation. That’s who we are as a school. We see a need, we fill it—and we do it together. Thank you for always being kind and making this possible! It's because of this community that functions metaphorically as one great big family- that East Minico is such a special place for students. I love this place!
