Springdale Public Schools has named Yolanda Mahan as the incoming Assistant Administrator of Archer Learning Center.

"I am very grateful and excited to step into this new leadership role at Archer," said Mahan. "I want to thank Dr. Davis and Mrs. Davis for allowing me previous opportunities, which have helped prepare me for this new role. I want to thank Dr. Davis, Dr. Cleveland, and the entire District Leadership Team for entrusting me with this new opportunity. Working in alternative education is more than just a job to me; it’s a calling. Archer is home; there’s nowhere I would rather serve."

Mahan is transitioning from instructional facilitator at Archer, where she served for 10 years. She has 32 years of experience in education.

"Yolanda Mahan is joining Archer Learning Center as our new Assistant Administrator, and we couldn't be more pleased," said Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland. "Her commitment to student-centered approaches and instructional excellence will make a significant positive impact on our students."

Mahan said she is excited to work alongside Dr. Davis to help carry out Archer's vision and mission.

"I look forward to collaborating with our staff and families to help continue creating a culture where both students and staff thrive in a positive and supportive environment," Mahan said.

Mahan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from Arkansas Tech University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Harding University

Dr. Coby Davis, Principal of Archer Learning Center, shared, "We're thrilled to have Yolanda Mahan step into a leadership role as our new Assistant Administrator! Her strong instructional background will certainly help us grow and expand teaching and learning. Ms. Mahan is committed to building a positive culture and promoting collaboration, and we're excited for the impact she'll make."

Mahan said she loves spending time with her family, her church family, and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, rafting, and scuba diving. She also takes joy in traveling to new places to see God’s amazing artwork.
