Connections are Important!
Dear Twin Lake Families,
Remember - morning drop off is at 8:25 and afternoon pick up is 3:45. Attendance is important. Please make sure your student attends school everyday (unless they have a fever or have been sick - 24 hour rule.) Also, be sure to call the office if your student is out. Mrs. Bennink is going to be starting truancy calls and emails this week.
Breakfast is served from 8:25 - 8:45 everyday and is free. Our school lunches are also free for every student this year. We are so happy to keep all of our Rockets well-fed and ready for their school day.
Please remember that if you drop your students to school in the morning, drop them off at the sidewalk or walk them across the parking lot. We need to keep our Rockets safe and we have had a few friends running across the parking lot.
We now have 2 active social media accounts! We have our official Twin Lake Elementary account and we also have a Twin Lake Elementary Connections account. (We also have an awesome Twin Lake PTO Facebook page!) Any of these accounts may post pictures of our kids having a great time at school. We do not share identifying information with the pictures. However, if you do not want your students' pictures posted, please let your students' teacher or the office know and we will not post your student's pictures.
Our CKH focus of the month is Empathy - This month, we’re focusing on empathy and challenging
students to make sure that everyone they interact with feels seen, heard, and valued. We are partnering with you to grow and develop empathy in your student at home. As a family, use these activities to reflect on and better understand the needs of others.
We are here to help! Feel free to call the office at 231-719-3190, if you have questions or concerns. Once school starts, you will use this number to report any student absences as well. The school office will be open Monday through Fridays from 8:00-4:00 each day.
We are all looking forward to seeing you!
Thank you!
Mrs. Bennink
After School Program
Our after-school program is back. We are going to start this year with DK - second graders. The program will run 3:45 - 5:45, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - September 14 - September 24. Please sign up on the link below.
Art To Remember
Our school is participating in a fundraiser with Art to Remember. This program benefits our art department and you will have the opportunity to purchase keepsake items customized with your child’s artwork. The products make great gifts for friends and family members! During our Art Class time, Twin Lake Elementary is currently working on our Art to Remember Projects. Our personalized order forms will arrive at school by 10/14/2, orders will be due 10/28/26. Completed orders will arrive at Twin Lake by 11/20/26. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Mrs. Palazzolo
Please let the office know if you do NOT want your child to participate in this free screening.

Rising Rockets - Youth Program
Please see the video below from the high school athletic department introducing Rising Rockets, an initiative designed to provide a one-stop digital location for all things youth athletics, in Rocket City.
Our goal is to make it easier for families to find information about camps, clinics, youth leagues, and opportunities to get involved in Reeths-Puffer athletics. Through Rising Rockets, you’ll be able to explore offerings, connect with programs, and register your student-athlete all in one convenient place.
We’re excited to continue building strong connections with our future Rockets and hope this resource makes navigating youth athletics in our community even easier.
