On Tuesday, October 14, we will wear pink and purple in memory of Ms. McFadden, a cherished member of our Lipscomb family whose warmth, laughter, and kindness touched the hearts of everyone she met. She brought joy to our students and staff each day and had a special love for flamingos—a perfect reflection of her bright and beautiful spirit. Lipscomb Named a Dallas County Catalyst Campus!

We are proud to announce that William Lipscomb Elementary has been named one of only 22 Dallas ISD campuses recognized as a Dallas County Catalyst Campus — an honor awarded to schools that have shown remarkable academic growth by improving their state accountability rating from a D or F in previous years to a B or A in 2025.

This recognition highlights the hard work, resilience, and dedication of our students, teachers, and families who continue to show that growth and excellence are possible through teamwork and high expectations.

Lipscomb will be celebrated at the Dallas County Economic Mobility Summit for being one of the few schools in the county to make this level of progress.

We couldn’t be prouder of our Pride!

A Historic Ode to a Refreshed Space

Thanks to a generous $30,000 donation from the East Dallas Exchange Club, the remodel of our Drew Pearson Auditorium is officially underway—joining the list of major campus renovations happening across Lipscomb. This past week, our auditorium received stunning new curtains proudly displaying a bold “WLS” stitched across the front facade.

These upgrades mark just the beginning of the exciting transformations this space will receive, made possible through the continued support of our incredible community partners.

🎃 Get Ready for a SPOOKTACULAR Night at Lipscomb! 🎃

This year, we bring back a spooky campus tradition — Lipscomb’s Trunk or Treat! Join us for a night of fun, candy, and community spirit as we transform our parking lot into a Halloween wonderland!

  • 🗓️ When: Friday, October 24th
  • 🛻 Trunk Set-Up: 3:45–5:00 PM
  • 🍬 Event Time: 5:00–6:30 PM
  • 🧹 Clean-Up: 6:30–7:00 PM\

This event is always a highlight of the fall season — a chance to celebrate together, connect with families, and make memories that last long after the candy’s gone. Stay tuned for more details!

Special Education Family Feedback Survey

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is asking families across the state to share feedback about their school district’s special education services. Your voice helps us continue improving how we support students and families receiving special education.

Dallas ISD is currently participating in the state’s Differentiated Monitoring and Support process, which helps schools identify strengths and areas for growth in special education programs.

We invite you to take a short 10–15 minute survey to share your experiences and feedback. Your responses are confidential and will only be reviewed by TEA to guide improvement efforts.

If you have specific questions or concerns about your child’s services, please reach out directly to your school’s special education staff.

Student Activities

We’ve listened to your feedback about after-school clubs and know that sometimes the experience has felt inconsistent. Our goal is to make it easier for families to see what’s available and for students to find the activities that fit them best.

Because Lipscomb is a smaller school, many of our teachers and staff already wear multiple hats every day. Hosting a club is something they choose to do on top of their regular responsibilities, often giving their own time to make sure students have opportunities to explore their passions. While a few clubs come with district stipends, most are led purely out of our staff’s dedication to our Pride. Their willingness to step up is what makes so much possible here, and we are deeply grateful.

Below, you will see our 2025-2026 Club Catalogue that contains our offerings:

2023 School Report Card

Each year, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) releases a School Report Card to share accountability information with families and the community.

Due to judicial proceedings, the release of the 2023 report was delayed.

You can view our School Report Card here, and explore the more detailed Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) here.

If you have questions or need a paper copy, please contact the school office.
