A Trip Down Goshen Lane
Issue 25: Feb. 6, 2026
Principal's Message
Hello, Families,
👉There is no school for students Friday, February 13th
due to Teacher Professional Development. 👈
It felt wonderful being back for our regular, full week! The students and staff are working hard and the growth students are showing in their MAP and Acadience data is extremely exciting. Thank you, families, for all you do at home to support the growth of your child as well. Play board games! Play card games! Take walks and talk together! Build or craft together! Read together! It's all part of what makes a learner during the school day even more successful.
We look forward to sharing updated assessment data with families at the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences. Conference nights are February 26th and March 5th, and you have received a digital sign. up from your teachers. We'd love to have 100% family attendance!
Valentine parties are Thursday, Feb. 12th. Please see your individual teachers' communication for more details.
As the year moves along, one important reminder is that car pickups should be in the back of the building. If you have a situation that requires you to park on the public streets in the front of the school, please be extra careful, obey stop signs, and keep a close eye out for our students crossing the streets. For the safety of our students, this is not the time to hurry or be distracted. I encourage folks to use the back parking lot for pickup.
This Week's Question Around the Dinner Table:
- What olympic event would you compete in if you could choose one?
- What olympic event do you want to watch?
Enjoy this extra bit of snow to play in this weekend!

Home Access to School Resources
Did you know your child can access their online educational apps at home like they do in school? These resources include Lexia and DreamBox, educational accounts to build reading and math skills. Click here to read how.
Lions Locker - Another Resource for our GJPS Families
Lions Locker is an anonymous pantry located at Gahanna Lincoln High School. They provide food, toiletries, school supplies and other basic necessities to PreK-12 students of Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
If your family is in need of these basic items please reach out to Mrs. Cellar, School Counselor (cellarl@gjps.org) and she will work with Lions Locker as well as other local organizations to support your family through these need based programs.
