FUN at BES
E-Learning (April 18)
We will not be sending home chromebooks for E-Learning this time. Students will receive packets of material they are currently working on in class. This material has already been taught to them, so it should be something that they can complete independently. Students will receive attendance credit for April 18 once the packet is turned in. Students have until Friday, April 25 to complete, and turn in the packet to their teacher.
Hurricane Make Up Days
Legislators have not forgiven our missing school days from the Hurricane. Legally, the school board was allowed to forgive two of the days. Here are the other days that will help us reach our 180 day school requirement.
- April 18- eLearning - (Asynchronous learning, meaning students will not physically be required to attend online instructional sessions or complete work on that day.)
- May 21 and 22- full days - These will be face-to-face and are currently both half days.)
- May 23- eLearning (Asynchronous enrichment which will not count toward students' grade.)

New Middle School Information
Our two current middle schools in the district have some significant financial challenges. The district is proposing the possibility of building a new middle school for Belton and Honea Path students to occupy in 2027-2028. Here is a link for some clarifying information - Building For Tomorrow

Reminders
Transportation Change
You must call the office if you need to change the transportation for how your child normally gets home. Messaging the teacher on Class Dojo will not work because teachers will most likely not see your message until students are already gone.
Breakfast
If your child is a car rider and would like to eat breakfast at school, please be sure to get them to school as early as possible to give them plenty of time to eat. The hot breakfast line ends at 7:35am. I would suggest getting your child to school before 7:30am to ensure they are getting a hot breakfast, and are not rushed.
Tardy Bell
The tardy bell will ring at 7:45am. Students must be in their classroom by 7:45am in order to not be tardy. Parents must park and walk their child in if they are tardy.
Early Dismissal
Students will not be allowed to be dismissed from class after 2:00pm without administrator approval. Please plan doctor appointments accordingly.
Free Lunch
Breakfast and Lunch are free for all of our students this year!
