CGS Weekly Message
10/14/24-10/18/24
Good afternoon,
Happy Sunday!
We hope that everyone had a restful Academic Break and are ready to begin Quarter 2!
Report Cards will go out this Friday, 10/18/24. We are hoping to send these out electronically via secure email for the first time!! We will let you know closer to Friday if we are successful at being able to send the report cards electronically or if you should expect to receive a paper copy of your student's academic progress.
Make Up Fall Picture Day: 10/14/24:
This make up fall picture day is for any new staff or students, or for those students that were absent for our Fall Picture Day that took place several weeks ago. Students at both campuses will be called to take their photo sometime tomorrow morning.
Emails:
We have switched over to using a new school messaging program. Please check your "SPAM" folders and mark any messages from CGS as "not spam" so that you do not miss out on any important information!
Parent FAQ:
Parents, we will not be reinstating our Parent FAQ section in our newsletters this school year. Please use the directory shared with you below in regards to your specific questions or concerns. Thanks!
Cell Phones:
CGS Families, we want to make sure that we are very clear about some issues that we've had recently regarding cell phone use. Any student found to have used their phone or any device to record (audio and/or video) teachers, other students, volunteers, or staff, will be permanently excluded from our school and will also be reported to law enforcement. We will not be tolerate this type of behavior and there will be no second chances. Cell phones are not to be used at our K-8 Campus. At our High School Campus, we are putting a system in place to collect phones at the beginning of classroom instruction. Phones will not be returned to students until AFTER the classroom instruction is over. Cell Phones will not be allowed to travel with students to restrooms or to locker rooms. Please help us by understanding the importance of keeping these devices out of private or compromising places as well as helping us limit the unnecessary distraction to our educational environment. We greatly appreciate your support in maintaining the safety and privacy for all of our students and staff at CGS.
