Tiger Tale
April 6, 2026
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Gaddoni to her new role as Dewey’s school secretary! Emily has been a valued member of our school community, serving as both a classroom and Maker Lab instructional assistant. We are excited for her to step into this new position and continue supporting our students, staff, and families in this important role.
State Testing Begins this Week
State testing is underway at Dewey! Our 3rd–6th grade students will participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), and our English Learners will take the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). These assessments provide valuable information about student learning and help guide instruction and support .
This week, our 5th graders will begin with Science testing, and our English Learners have already started ELPAC. All other students will begin testing next week. Please see the testing schedule below for specific dates.
We encourage all students to come to school on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best and show what they know. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
