Welcome to another week of intermittent blue skies and rain. Maybe the fresh air will spark some creativity and inspire a funding proposal or two. Remember the deadline to submit your ideas is next Tuesday the 17th at 11:59pm.

Don't forget, we have an early release day this Wednesday at 11:50am. We also have our monthly Dine Out at Laughing Planet Woodstock on Wednesday. Head over and pick up lunch or dinner and support the PTA!

Another long weekend will help you rest up for Shu Ren's to Lunar New Year Festival next Friday the 20th. Volunteers are still needed to pull off this wonderful event so please see below for more information and consider helping out if you can.

All day, this Wednesday, February 11 (Early Release!) Laughing Planet is donating 15% of all in house orders at their Woodstock location to the school! Last year we raised $468—let’s top it! Dine-in, take-out, order online from 10:30 am – 9 pm.

We invite Woodstock Elementary parents, students, caregivers, teachers, staff, and committees to submit ideas for school improvements, special events, and additional class resources. The annual call for funding proposals is where money the Woodstock PTA raises directly impacts the community.

Past funding proposals have included:

• The beautiful garden shed
• The Free Little Library by the playground
• Melodicas for the music program
• A Reptile Man Assembly
• A Birds of Prey Assembly
• Resources for teachers in addition to their yearly funds from the PTA

Cultural Lunch Volunteers Requested (2/17/26)

The school is looking for volunteers to help with the Cultural Lunch on Tuesday, Feb 17th. Volunteers are needed to help in the cafeteria, help sell lunch tickets to guests, and help check in families as they arrive.

Volunteer at the PTA Clothing Closet! Monday 3/16/26

Every year, each PPS school sends volunteers to staff the Clothing Closet at the Marshall Campus. Volunteers will help students shop and find clothes that make them feel good or they will sort donations and organize the shop.

The PTA Clothing Closet is 100% volunteer-supported and served over 1,500 students last school year! If volunteers don't show up, students don't get to shop. Please consider volunteering for this opportunity on Monday 3/16/26 from 9:30am -1:30pm. Volunteers can be parents, grandparents or community members.

Help the Front Office with Tardy Student Check Ins

The front office is looking for some help with check ins for students coming in late. Colder and wetter weather seems to bring more late arrivals! Please sign up if you can help.

Please help us spread the word with friends, neighbors, preschools, and anyone else who may have a future kindergartner! Enrollment is down across the board, so getting more students registered = more resources and funding for all students and staff at Woodstock.
