Monday, September 14 (A DAY)

• Faculty Meeting

• Magazine Drive Assemblies - We have our assemblies on Monday! This is the primary student activities fundraiser for the year and the proceeds go back to Holicong Student Activities to support our non-academic activities and programs. We used these funds for our Holicong t-shirts this year!

• PICTURE DAY - Picture Day is this Tuesday and will take place during Social Studies classes. Please make sure to bring your packet back and this is required even if you are not ordering pictures as it is used for the Yearbook & Student ID!
• I & E FRIENDS - Informational meeting for 8th grade students

• 6th Grade Back to School Night - Parents received separate communication

Week in Review...a glimpse of the past week at Holicong

• 9/11 Remembrance - We made an announcement and observed a moment of silence to honor the memories of those we lost on the 25th anniversary.
• Securly Flex Training - Students had training on securly flex. This is the program we use for I & E and will provide an overview for parents at Back to School Night.
• Welcome Wednesdays - We had our 1st Welcome Wednesday hosted by 8th grade students and the office team. We decorated the cafeteria windows and took advantage of a beautiful day outside!
• Fall Athletic Tryouts - Tryouts for fall athletics began this past week.
• Colonial Cores - Thanks to our student leadership team for modeling how we practice the Colonial Cores in every day at Holicong.
• Safety & Security - Staff reviewed emergency drill procedures with students and we conducted our first fire drill.

Announcements & Updates...

• 6th GRADE BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT - Mark your calendar! Our Back to School Night for 6th grade parents & guardians is Wednesday, September 16th @ 6:30!

• 7th & 8th GRADE BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT - Mark your calendar! Our Back to School Night for 7th and 8th grade parents & guardians is next Wednesday, September 23rd @ 6:30!

• CLUBS ARE STARTING - Please see the daily announcements for our extracurricular opportunities and yes, you can create a new club by filling out the form here - Student Activities.

• STUDENT HANDBOOK & Code of Conduct - All students received a free student handbook this week! All students are required to have this and for parents - please know that it has a daily and weekly calendar where students can record homework assignments. It also includes the student handbook and other tools & tips for students. We had students sign off on the Code of Conduct this week in their grade level Canvas course!

• CERT & SAFETY - We will be conducting many of our security and safety drills this week. The safety and security of our students and staff is our primary focus at Holicong and we will be reviewing our drills on a monthly basis.

• CHIP APPLICATION & FREE and REDUCED LUNCH - We are encouraging our parents & guardians to review and complete the free and reduced or Children’s Health Insurance Program if you need financial or medical assistance. Please reach out to Mrs. Irrera if you have questions!

• Lunch reminder - Remember that we will be revisiting our lunch seating - this will be based on the grade working together to follow the Colonial Cores in the cafeteria!

2026-27 Family Handbook Now Available, Please Read Closely

All CBSD families and students are encouraged to carefully review the 2026-27 Family

Handbook now available on the district's website. The handbook includes sections on important topics such as equal opportunity protections; report cards; health, special education, and other services for students; regulations and student disciplinary procedures, including policies on smoking/vaping, drugs and alcohol, and threats; technology and cell phone usage; parental rights; Title IX procedures; and more. Thank you for your support in following district guidelines to maintain safe and caring schools.

Join Superintendent Dr. Joanna Wexler at October Community Forums

All Central Bucks School District parents and guardians, community members, teachers, staff, and students are invited to join Superintendent Dr. Joanna Wexler at one or more community forums on Monday, Oct. 5 at CB West High School; Monday, Oct. 12 at Holicong Middle School; and Monday, Oct. 26 at Jamison Elementary School. Each event will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. and is designed to be informal and conversational. Attendees are welcome to stop in anytime to meet Dr. Wexler and share any questions or topics of interest. Register now!
