Tawanka March Madness of Books

This week, our March Madness Tournament of Books officially tipped off! We viewed two stories each day and voted on which of the two we liked better. So far, "Ursula Upside Down" by Corey R. Tabor, "Magic Ramen: The Story of Momofuku Ando" by Andrea Wang, "Figgy and Boone: The Big Cheese" by Jamee Trasler, and "The Ninjabread Man" by C. J. Leigh are moving on to the Elite 8. Harlem Wizards are Coming! March 14th.

The Harlem Wizards are coming back to Neshaminy on Saturday, March 14! Tickets are now on sale. The Harlem Wizards game is a fundraiser for the Neshaminy Education Foundation, the non-profit volunteer organization founded in 1993 dedicated to supporting innovation in our Neshaminy schools and scholarships for our graduating seniors. The Wizards have been bringing their high-energy, family-friendly brand of basketball "Wizard-ry" to Neshaminy since 2017. The game regularly draws around 1,000 happy fans who fill Gym 3 at Neshaminy High School to see our Neshaminy "Dream Team" of teachers and support staff.

Tickets can be purchased online through the link below or visit the Harlem Wizards website and search for "Langhorne, PA" on their game calendar.

A Note from the Nurse A Note from the Nurse

Sick Season...

Sick season is here! We want to help keep our students, families, and staff healthy! The best way to stop germs from spreading is by practicing good habits every day.

  • Please remember to:

    • Wash hands often with soap and water

    • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow

    • Avoid touching your face

    • Stay home if you are feeling sick

By working together and practicing these preventative measures, we can help keep our school a healthy and happy place to learn. Thank you for your support in keeping everyone safe!

We are also entering broken season. If your child has a broken or damaged appendage and requires an exemption from Phys Ed or Recess, please send in a note to the nurse!

During Kindness Week, students in Mrs. Atwater read Enemy Pie. A story about how inviting someone to play can turn them into a friend rather than who you thought they were – an enemy. We then made our own friendship pie recipes. Some key ingredients include laughter, having fun together, being truthful, and being good listeners.
