Morning Arrival
School starts promptly at 7:45
The bell rings at 7:40.
All students should be in the building and entering their classroom by 7:40.
The back loop gate closes at 7:40
The tardy bell rings at 7:45 and the doors are closed.
If you are arrive at 7:45 or later, you must walk your child to the front office.
You DO NOT need to check your child in if they are tardy.
The office staff will print them a tardy slip and take them to class.
We allow students to start entering the building at 7:10. We do not have any backups in our arrival lines this year. The car drop off line moves very quickly. The most congestion we see is from 7:35-7:40.
Dismissal
If you pick up multiple children from different grade levels and one of them is absent, please contine to pick up in the same line as if all children were present.
For example if you have kindergartner and a 2nd grader, you will always pick up in the kinder line even if the kindergartner is absent. This keeps dismissal consitent.
Children's Show at Wimberley High School
All BHP students will be traveling to Wimberley High School by bus to watch the WHS theatre students perform Alice in Wonderland. If you wish to not have your child attend, please notify the classroom teacher.
Texan Stadium Rules
A reminder of the rules and regulations of attending a game at Texan Stadium.
Texan Families,
As Texan Stadium prepares to host the first home football game of the year on September 12th, we would like to remind our families of some of our stadium rules:
- All spectators in 6th grade or below must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult sibling. Please do not drop off your students to our home football games without an accompanying adult.
- If a spectator leaves the stadium gates they will not be allowed re-entry.
- All student spectators must sit in the stands, regardless of their age/grade, unless accessing restrooms or the concession stand(s).
- The gates between the home side concession stand and the visitor’s (band) concession stand will be closed. Spectators that are making a trip to either of the concession stands will be allowed to pass through. Spectators will not be allowed to loiter near the hill area or by the doors to the field house.
- Students will not be allowed to bring footballs or other sports balls into the stadium.
- The road just south of the stadium (behind the scoreboard) must remain completely clear of vehicles so that it can be used by first responders in the event of an emergency.
- In the event of a situation that requires the evacuation of the stadium, like a weather event, all adults and their children will be asked to return to their vehicles. Unaccompanied children will be sent to Danforth JH. These announcements will be made at the stadium if needed.
- NEW THIS YEAR: A new Texas law (SB 2929) gives referees and officials the authority to remove disruptive spectators from school athletic events immediately, without a prior warning. Once a spectator is ejected, the decision is final and cannot be appealed. This change is designed to ensure a safe and respectful environment for our athletes, coaches, officials, and fans. Please help us maintain a positive atmosphere by modeling good sportsmanship and supporting all participants.
These rules come with the desire to maintain a safe environment for all of our spectators and those students participating in game functions at the stadium. In the past, unsafe play at home games has led to potentially dangerous scenarios for other spectators.
Tickets for all WISD athletic events are only available online at wimberleyisd.net/tickets.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and GO TEXANS!
Texan Roots Week Sept. 22-26

Plus, KWVH 94.3 Wimberley Valley Radio will be broadcasting live from the event! Don’t miss this exciting night of Texan pride and community spirit. Proceeds will benefit ALL the WISD Athletic Programs.
Student Birthday Celebrations
If you would like to send treats for your child’s class to celebrate your child’s birthday (cupcakes, cookies, donuts all work well for classroom distribution), please plan to drop the treats off in the school office on the day of the celebration.
Providing napkins, plates and plasticware is also helpful as teachers do not have these items in the classroom. Please do not bring anything that needs to be sliced/cut.
Students’ birthdays are celebrated with treats in the classrooms after lunch.
Birthday treats cannot be served in the cafeteria during lunch times.
To protect our students with food allergies, please check with your child’s teacher about appropriate birthday treats that can be sent to school.

Thank you for coming to school and having lunch with your child! We love seeing students and parents together in the building!
