From the Principal's Desk:
Good morning, RCS Families!
Yes, we are almost there! The start of a new school year is just around the corner, and I am excited to welcome our students and families back to Resurrection Catholic School.
We have been busy preparing for the new school year, and I am pleased to share some of the many upgrades, additions, and exciting changes taking place around our school:
- Our hallways have been freshly painted.
- The gym floor has been resurfaced.
- A new shed has been added outside for athletic storage.
- We are introducing a new social-emotional curriculum for our PreK students.
- We now have two PreK 3 classes and two PreK 4 classes.
- We have welcomed Mr. D, an experienced new music teacher to our faculty.
- Mrs. Renbjor will be leading the PreK 4 half day program.
- We have hired a new PreK 3 aid, Mrs. Melissa Dobbins, whose son, Alex, will be joining us in PreK 4.
- Mr. Tim Barnes is our new Maintenance Director and has been so helpful in assisting us in preparing for the first day of school.
Important Dates – Please Mark Your Calendars
September 1 – Supply Drop-Off | 6:00–8:00 PM
This evening will provide families with an opportunity to drop off supplies and meet the teachers and see the school.
PreK thru 5th grades are all located on the first floor along with the Spanish classroom. Middle school will occupy the second floor. See this years school map layout here.
New Student Orientation | 6:30–7:30 PM
New students and their parents are invited to join us in the St. Mary's Room during Supply Drop-off. We will review important information regarding drop-off and pick-up procedures, lunch, dress code, and other topics to help make the transition to RCS as smooth as possible.
Performing Arts Reveal | 7:30 PM
Immediately following the New Student Orientation, we will gather in the school lobby at 7:30 PM for the exciting reveal of this year's Theater Arts production!
September 8 – First Day of School K-8
Our first day is going to be a very special one!
A Special Welcome from Bishop Williams
We are honored to welcome Bishop Williams to RCS on the first day of school. Bishop Williams will welcome our students and visit several classrooms throughout the morning.
We will also have a special prayer gathering for parents at the flagpole at 8:00 AM. We have asked Bishop Williams to lead us in prayer as we begin a new school year, asking for a year filled with health, happiness, joy, and God's blessings.
Rain Plan: In the event of rain, our 8:00 AM parent gathering will be held in the gym.
When you enter the school property there will be cones dividing the entrance. The front of the school drop off will stay to the left and pull up as far as possible in front of the school. Please remember to be aware that we will have a large line behind you.
If you are in grades 1-8 stay to the right and follow around the back of the school. Please pull up as far as possible and do not cut across the parking lot as the children are moving. Once the line stops the students may exit the car and use the sidewalk to enter through the courtyard entrance door.
Updated Morning Drop-Off Procedure We have made two changes to our morning drop-off procedures this year:
- Kindergarten and PreK students, along with their siblings, may be dropped off at the front of the school.
- Our Late Bell is now at 8:00 am sharp. Students should be in their classrooms and in their seats by 8:00am. Not 8:05am. Doors will still be open at 7:40am
- Pre-K & Kinder - your large P sign will be available to pick-up during Supply drop-off and should be displayed in your vehicle when using the front-side school drop-off area.
- Please review the pick-up procedures here before the first day of school.
- If your child is a walker, please make sure you complete and sign the required walker permission form NOW AVAILABLE on your parent portal. Once the form has been received, we will issue your child a walker badge.
I am truly looking forward to an exciting new adventure as we begin the 2026–2027 school year. Thank you for choosing Resurrection Catholic School and for entrusting your children to us. We are grateful for the opportunity to educate, support, love and guide your children each day.
I look forward to seeing all of our students and families very soon!
God bless,
John W. Keeley-Principal

🏈 Coaches Corner 8/23/26🏃🏻♀️
from Athletic Director Rob Skowronek:
Special thanks to Zach Speers, Steve Gardner, Brian Baker, and Tim Brady for their assistance in assembling the newly purchased athletics' shed. The purpose of the shed is to allow easy access to equipment used for outdoor activities while freeing up space in the main storage closest. This is another investment from the Athletic Department in our athletes that allows for increased equipment purchases and organization.
Thank you to the following coaches for attending the “Play like a Champion Today” coaches clinic sponsored by the Camden County Diocese: Warren DeCena, Jessica Kirke, Jaimie Calvo, and Tracey Walsh.
Future dates that RCS will host this event for all coaches are 9/23 & 10/21. Stay tuned for more details!
