Walk-Up, Drop-Off, and Pick-Up Walk-Up, Drop-Off, and Pick-Up

Thank you to our walk-up drop-off and pick-up families for parking across the street and using the crosswalk! Your cooperation helps keep our students safe.

Please use the parking lot across the street, shown in the first photo, during 7:40–8:00 a.m. and 2:40–3:05 p.m. If you are walking your child to or from school—or visiting the office during these times—please park there and use the crosswalk.

Please do not park in the main lot for drop-off or pick-up during these times. The direct entrance shown in the second photo will be blocked with cones. Families dropping off or picking up students by car should use the drop-off loop.

Families who have received a parking pass for a student with special needs should also enter through the drop-off loop to access the main parking lot.

Thank you for helping arrival and dismissal run safely and smoothly! If you have questions or concerns, please contact Carrie Gauthier, Superintendent

Attendance Policy Attendance Policy

Why is our attendance policy changing?

Chronic absenteeism is a growing concern across Michigan, and improving student attendance has become an important focus for school districts throughout the state. In partnership with Gratiot-Isabella RESD (GIRESD), our district has updated its attendance policy to create clearer and more consistent expectations for students and families.

This year, we will also be sharing Strive for 5 information with families, encouraging students to strive for five or fewer absences during the school year whenever possible. Our goal is not simply to track absences—it is to work together with families to help students be present, stay connected, and succeed.
