WE MISS YOU!!
Students & Teachers Are Rockin' Online Learning!
I know every day is not easy doing learning online through Canvas without our teachers and classmates. It is just not the same as being together in the classroom. I want to thank all of our Schweitzer parents and families for supporting your children in this learning process. I also want to thank the teachers and staff for rising to the challenge of creating a brand new online learning platform. Our teaching and learning in Neshaminy is forever changed as a result!

Red Nose Celebration in Mrs. Flynn's First Grade Class!
Mrs. Flynn's class celebrated 'Red Nose Day' in their virtual Zoom meeting this week. Mrs. Flynn sent each student a red nose in the mail to wear proudly for the celebration along with extra noses for siblings. 'Red Nose Day' is a campaign to end child poverty, one nose at a time. Through the power of entertainment, Red Nose Day raises money and awareness to ensure children who need our help the most are safe, healthy and educated in America and around the world. Mrs. Flynn made a donation to the campaign on behalf of her 2019-2020 first grade class.

Mrs. Cahill Mails Her Students Special Mother Day Project
Mrs. Cahill mailed out a Mother's Day project to all of her students. It included a letter on how to make a Mother’s Day card with a flower that also doubled as a Science project. The flower bloomed when they put it in water. On Canvas, she posted the video to go along with the Mystery Science project. The students were able to create the special card as a present for their moms on Mother’s Day. The class also does weekly Zooms together just to say hi and touch base with each other. They’ve also done fun activities like playing a guessing game with facts the children have shared about themselves. Mrs. Cahill reads the facts and the class has to guess who they are talking about. They also do weekly lunch bunches just like they would have at school!

Mr. Ponza Hosts Lunches and Dance Parties for Students
Mr. Ponza and his students have been having lunch on Wednesdays via Zoom. They meet online to talk and watch funny video clips and read stories to connect to classmates. They also do a weekly 'Show and Tell' and 'Dance Party' on Fridays for students to share, hang out, and have fun!
Mrs. Bullick Connects with Students Through Lunch Bunches & Flat Teacher Visits
Mrs. Bullick meets with her students twice a week for 'Lunch Bunch' to talk, have lunch together, and connect. Mrs. Bullick and other teachers have also found creative ways to connect with students. After reading Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, her students received a writing assignment and a flat version of their teacher in the mail. Here is Isabella cooling off in the pool with “Mrs. Bullick!"
