Care and Connection

We will be centering our welcome back with students on care and connection. Educators will spend time doing community-building activities and orientation with new and returning students.

  • In elementary, our staff will meet students at the door and be positioned in the hallways to help students locate classrooms and connect with teachers. Schools will be walking students through building-wide tours and training for safety and expectations in each location. Our social-emotional learning staff, including counselors, skill builders and teachers on special assignments will be visiting classrooms and helping students identify the adults that are there to support them.
  • In middle school, our sixth graders will be welcomed by student leaders and participate in a fun day of orientation and relationship building. We will also be extending our advisory periods to provide time for social-emotional learning and community building the entire first week of school to support all of our students' return in 6-8th.
  • At high school, our team has planned activities to take place within the periods to help students re-acclimate to school and build community with each other.
We believe that by investing in time for care and connection that we will return to a strong learning community where students thrive.

Health Alert/Health Medical Protocol

Parent/Guardians with students who have a Health Alert or Health Medical Protocol on file will soon receive a copy in the mail from the District Nursing team for review. If there are any changes, it is requested those are noted on the document and returned to your child's school as soon as possible. If there is a release of information form included in the mailing, we ask that you fill in the required information and return it by mail in the self-addressed envelope provided. Please make sure to return this form as soon as possible as we have experienced delays in getting information from medical providers.
