The Little Judges Ledger
October 5 - October 9, 2026
Dear Virginia Avenue Families,
We had another busy and exciting week at Virginia Avenue! Our Little Judges continue to work hard and make great progress. As we move closer to the end of the first quarter, this week is a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and celebrate how much they have already grown!
👩🏫 Parent-Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, October 8, from 3:00–6:00 p.m.
- 💬 If you have not yet scheduled a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher to arrange a time.
- 📚 While you’re here, don’t forget to stop by the Book Fair!
📚 Scholastic Book Fair
- 📅 Monday, October 5–Friday, October 9
- 📖 Students will have opportunities to visit the Book Fair during the school week.
- 👨👩👧 The Book Fair will also be open during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 8.
- 🎒 Check your child’s backpack for additional Book Fair information.

🏠 School to Home: Goal Setting
Last week, we encouraged families to talk about what students are learning and where they want to grow. This week, take the next step by helping your child set one small goal for themselves.
Try asking:
- ⭐ What is one thing you want to get better at in school?
- 👣 What is one small step you can take to improve?
- 🤝 Who can help you when you need support?
Remind your child that getting better takes time and practice. Small steps add up—and that’s what Keep Climbing is all about! 🏔️
