Principal's Message
Dear VCHS Families,
We’re looking forward to an exciting week ahead with Sadies Spirit Week and the Sadies Dance on Friday, March 28th from 8:00–11:00 PM! Spirit Week is always a fun opportunity for students to express themselves, show their school pride, and strengthen the sense of connection and belonging that makes Valley Center High School so special. The Sadies Dance is a beloved tradition where students can enjoy a night of music, laughter, and unforgettable memories with friends.

March is also Music in Our Schools Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize and thank Jeff Beck, Laralee Alderson Beck, and Sergio Mejia for their dedication and talent in building some of the strongest music programs in the state. We also deeply appreciate the ongoing support of our Band Boosters—thank you for everything you do to uplift and enrich our students’ experiences.
As we head toward the final stretch of the semester, please note that we’ve just passed the 10-week mark. This is a great time to check your child’s grades to ensure they’re on track. Students need a C or higher in courses to meet UC A-G eligibility requirements. To learn more about UC A-G, click here.
We encourage all students to take part in the excitement of Spirit Week and the dance! Please remind your student that they must be cleared from the Non-Privilege List (NPL) in order to attend the dance. This means serving any assigned Lunch Detention or Saturday School ahead of time.
Participating in school events like Spirit Week and the Sadies Dance helps students feel more connected and engaged at VCHS. These shared experiences are part of what makes high school so meaningful. We can’t wait to see our students celebrating together and making lasting memories!
Go Jags!
Kind Regards,
Mrs. Clymer

SDCCU Classroom Heroes
For over ten years, San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) and SDCOE have recognized local “Classroom Heroes." This school year the recognitions went from quarterly to monthly, with one local San Diego County teacher being recognized as a Classroom Hero each month through May 2025. Winning teachers receive a $500 SDCCU Visa® gift card and are featured on CBS News8.
SDCCU has just added a grand prize for the 2024-25 school year. One of this year's classroom heroes will receive a five-day luxury staycation at Kona Kai Resort in San Diego. There is still time to nominate a deserving teacher! Educators, students, and families can do so by visiting the SDCCU nomination page.
