Happy Holidays! I have to apologize for combining our November & December newsletters, but time slipped away from me. We had some really amazing things take place in November. The highlight for us was our Veteran's Day program. Students learned about service, courage, and respect, as we honored all branches of our military. We also celebrated our PBIS winners with a whole school Thanksgiving Bingo event. A big thank you to the PTO volunteers for coming to help hand our prizes to the winners. We wrapped up November with the Dollar Dash for the Salvation Army. Valley View raised $1484.00 in total and Mrs. Owen's class was the classroom winner! The month of December has brought lots of fun. PTO sponsored our Santa's craft night and we have welcomed lots of mystery readers into the building. We will finish up with classroom parties and a hot chocolate station as our PBIS reward. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season. As a reminder, winter break starts on December 22nd. We will see everyone back on January 6th.

For the month of November, we spent time learning about the importance of GRATITUDE. Gratitude is a coping strategy that is very effective in keeping adults and children grounded, and focusing on what is truly important. Practicing gratitude is an excellent habit for children to engage in , in order to maintain mental health.
