Thank You, Assistant Principals!

As we celebrate Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, let us take a moment to recognize the incredible work and dedication of our assistant principals at the Intermediate School. They play a vital role in shaping our school culture and supporting the academic success of our students. Their tireless efforts behind the scenes often go unnoticed, but their impact on our school community is immeasurable. Let's show our appreciation for our Assistant Principals, Christy Marbach & Sara Elley, and thank them for all that they do.

We Love Our Librarians!

Let's give a big shout-out to these unsung heroes who work tirelessly to support our education and love for books. They are always ready to help us find that perfect book or guide us through research projects. So let's take a moment to thank our school librarians and show them how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication.

Military Child Education Coalition Art Contest

The MCEC Call for the Arts program invites military-connected children from all over the world, representing every branch of service, to share interpretations through art of what it means to be a military-connected child. 2024 Call for the Arts submissions are accepted through April 30th. The contest is open to students K-12. Please click the link for more information.

Party of Two!

Cub Council members enjoyed being Reading Buddies for the 1st grade Reading Restaurant event!

Welcome, Spring!

The first of two sets of Painted Lady Butterflies raised in our computer lab this spring have been released to help pollinate La Vernia! Students have been able to experience the various stages of the life cycle, and fourth graders will be able to use what they have learned in an upcoming coding project, where they will model animal changes and adaptations by creating mini videos with code!

Our school-wide goal is 10,000 bags! Our school-wide goal is 10,000 bags!

Don't Throw Away Your Car Tags!

Please don't discard your CarRider Pro car tag! Your family tag will work next year for returning students or incoming third graders with siblings already attending LV Intermediate.

If you lose your initial family tag issued in 2022-2023, you will need to purchase an additional tag for $5 for the 2023-2024 school year.

Incoming third graders with no siblings at the Intermediate and "new to LV" students will receive their first car tag at no charge.

Campus Communication

Campus contact information along with dates, district calendar, parent portal, transportation updates, lunch menus and other important documents can be found on our district website: https://www.lvisd.org/. We also encourage you to join our campus Facebook page (La Vernia Intermediate School and La Vernia Intermediate PTO) and Remind (text @lvinter to 81010) for quick reminders and updates. A bi-monthly campus newsletter will be sent out via email which will include upcoming events and campus highlights. Please make sure your email address is up-to-date in our records. Your child’s homeroom teacher will also provide you with specific information regarding classroom and teacher communication.
