Winthrop Weekly
November 25th, 2025
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We at Winthrop wish all of our families and caregivers a Happy Thanksgiving and a restful, safe long weekend. We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful, supportive community and the strength of our parent and family partnerships.
As we embrace this time of gratitude, we want to reiterate the importance of keeping our students focused and actively engaged in their studies. Engagement is not just about completing homework; it’s about nurturing a genuine curiosity and connection to the material.
Families can significantly boost this by establishing consistent home routines—including dedicated, distraction-free study spaces and prioritizing adequate sleep—which are foundational to attention. We also encourage caregivers to talk with your children about what they are learning by asking open-ended questions like, "What surprised you in class today?" and helping them connect school topics to real-world examples.
By working together, we continue to build a strong partnership that supports active, enthusiastic learning, ensuring every Winthrop student thrives.
Thank You,
Winthrop Administration Team
