CVU Celebrations
October 16, 2026
Dear Community,
We often think of school as a place where students come to learn and engage in experiences we thoughtfully curate for them. Today, I was reminded of just how much our students have to teach us and how meaningfully they can impact the world beyond our school walls.
Many of the clubs that meet during C3 are focused on making our world a better place, in ways both big and small. Our students care deeply about issues that extend far beyond their own lives and well-being. Witnessing their compassion and commitment, especially as the days grow colder and darker, is a powerful reminder that we can make a difference when we choose to act with intention and care.
Today, Together We Rise, our gender equality and advocacy club, organized a Pink Out in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Their efforts offered a meaningful example of how students can bring awareness to important issues and inspire their community to come together.
As we head into the weekend, perhaps caregivers might ask their students how they are making—or how they would like to make—a positive impact in our community. How do they see their role in caring for themselves, supporting their peers, and contributing to the well-being of our school community?
These conversations can help us recognize and nurture the many ways our students are already making a difference, while encouraging them to see the role they can play in building a more caring and connected world.
