To help with the efficiency of Biker/Walker dismissal, please stand behind the brick wall in order for dismissal teachers to see all signs and call students names. When parents are on the sidewalk the older self release students have trouble getting out in an orderly fashion. Thank you for your help with this!
Bush Elementary FUNDfest!
🐾 Bobcat FUNd Fest Kicks Off Monday, October 19th! 💙💚
Get ready, Bobcats! Our annual Bobcat FUNd Fest fundraiser runs October 19–30, with a school wide goal of $35,000! Funds raised will help purchase a sunshade for our new playground, help pay for PTO student programs and events, and support our wonderful teachers, staff and school. The PTO would not be able to do any of the fun student activities and events or support our staff and school without the fundraising efforts from our Bobcat Community.
Set Up Your Student’s Fundraising Page!
Getting started is easy! Simply log in to your Bush PTO Membership Toolkit (MTK) account or register for a new account if you don’t already have one. Once logged in, you’ll find a link for your student to create their individual fundraising page. Share your student’s page with family and friends to help us reach our goal!

My Future, My Path Week
Volunteers Needed!
My Future, My Path Week (Nov. 16-20) Volunteers Needed!
The week before Thanksgiving vacation, all schools in CISD will be celebrating Generation Texas Week or My Future, My Path Week, a statewide event in Texas schools dedicated to helping students dream big and plan for life after high school.
We are looking for volunteers to come to speak to classes about their careers. We would love to have speakers share stories about military careers, college, trade school, and other careers! Volunteers will be given an outline by the counselors with ideas of what to share.
Please contact our counselors Julia Rieke at jrieke@conroeisd.net or Jennifer Garcia or jmgarcia@conroeisd.net to sign up and for more information. If you are not already signed up as school volunteer, we will help you with the easy sign-up process.
We know we have some AMAZING parents with so much they can share with our kids. We look forward to hearing from you!

Lunch with your BOBCAT!- Please read UPDATES!
Please remember when you come to eat with your student, other students are not allowed to sit with you. And as we tell the kids, as nice as it is to share, at lunch time we do not share food. Please do not bring food to share with other students. These two situations keep kiddos from feeling left out and safe from food allergies.
Please sign up at the link below if you are planning on having lunch with your bobcat! This ensures that we have the space for parents/visitors to attend!
PLEASE READ FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL STUDENTS AT LUNCH
Just a few helpful tips to make the most of your visit with your child:
- Please be sure your visitor’s badge is visibly worn.
- Please be sure to find the visitors’ table in the lunchroom to share this time with your child(ren). Student tables are for students only.
- We know what a special time this is for you and your child. We do kindly ask that you only sit with your child.
- Once lunch is over for your child(ren), please be sure to return to the front office to sign out with our office staff using the same hall you walked to get to the cafeteria. Please do not roam the halls.
- Parents should refrain from walking their children back to class or recess once lunch is over.
- PLEASE NO PICTURES OR VIDEOS
Student Pick Up
Per district policy, anyone picking up a child other than their own should have a note signed by the child's parent or guardian giving them permission to do so. A picture ID will be requested when picking up a student.
Family/Student Assistance
Throughout the school year, community organizations may reach out to Bush Elementary with opportunities to support our students and families with school supplies, clothing, holiday assistance, and other needs. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. Before we provide support with an outside organization for these assistance programs, we must have your permission. If your family would be interested in receiving information about or being considered for these types of assistance programs, please complete the electronic form linked below. All information submitted through the form will be sent directly to Mrs. Howard and will be handled confidentially.
Please keep in mind that available assistance programs vary from year to year. Completing this form does not guarantee that your family will receive assistance. Instead, it lets us know that your family is interested in available opportunities and gives us permission to share the information identified on the form with participating organizations when appropriate. A new consent form must be completed for each school year. To complete the form, please use the link below. If you have any questions about the form or available assistance programs, please contact Mrs. Howard. Thank you for allowing us to help connect our Bush families with resources and support available within our community.
Attendance Protocols
Please review the attendance protocols for the district and campus attendance goals! We want to make you aware of changes in coding for absences and timelines for reporting a student absence. Please review this document paying close attention to unexcused absence protocol. The school must be notified within 48 hours of an absence to be coded Absent with Parent Contact. After 48 hours, the absence is marked Unexcused and will not be changed.

30 Years of Bobcat Pride!
Device Reminder
Bobcat Brews !
Bobcat Brews is more than a snack and coffee cart service! It's a student-run enterprise that gives our students the opportunity to build real-world skills while serving the amazing teachers and staff at Bush Elementary. From taking inventory and to preparing orders, making sales, and delivering coffee, drinks, and snacks with a smile, our students are involved in every aspect of running the business. Along the way, they develop valuable life and workplace skills such as communication, customer service, inventory management, teamwork, responsibility, organization, and business operations. Every order is more than a purchase! It's an opportunity for our students to gain confidence, practice independence, and experience the pride that comes from providing a meaningful service to our school community. Bobcat Brews helps to build skills, foster independence, and create opportunities for success.
Support the Bobcat Brews and treat your child’s teacher or staff member of your choice!
Bobcat Brews is offering a $10 punch card for you to purchase for your child's teacher/staff member of your choice. These punch cards make a thoughtful and practical gift for any teacher/staff, allowing them to easily purchase coffee, sodas, chips, candy, and other snacks at the Bobcat Brews Store!
You will need to UNCHECK the box that says "myself" and indicate in the box who it is for: (ex: to *staff member name* from *student name*)
Thank you for your support of the Bobcat Brews Program!
*Punch cards CANNOT be sold to students*

Arrival/Dismissal Safety
- PLEASE do not drop off any students on Crownridge in the morning.
- PLEASE refrain from cell phone use while in car rider line and in school zones.
- PLEASE refrain from walking across Crownridge outside of a crosswalk, this is jaywalking and cars have the right of way.
These are citable offenses and we do not want to start or end anyone's day with that! Mornings and afternoons can be hectic, but the students' safety has to be a priority.
Thank you to Officer Melchor in assisting with our arrival and dismissal!

What are Bush Elementary's Guidelines for Success?
The Bush staff selected four Guidelines for Success that we want all of our students and staff to strive to demonstrate.
These guidelines serve as a framework for behavioral expectations in all settings. These are the foundation for lessons that teach students how to be successful. The staff references these guidelines when encouraging positive behavior and correcting irresponsible behavior.
The guidelines for success also serve as a guide for staff and students in evaluating their own behavior. Teachers will teach one related lesson to our guidelines for success each week in Morning Meetings.
