Dear Jefferson Families,
We are off to a fantastic start to the school year! The first two weeks have been full of energy, smiles, and learning. Students have settled into their routines, and classrooms are already buzzing with engagement and excitement for the year ahead.
One highlight of our back-to-school season was the Back to School Bash. We were thrilled to welcome hundreds of students, parents, and family members to enjoy an evening of fun, food, and connection. Thank you to our many community vendors who joined us to share resources and make the evening such a success. The excitement in the air reminded us of the strong support and spirit that make Jefferson Elementary such a special place.
We are also excited to introduce our new full-time Dean of Students, Mrs. Ashley Hoehn. Mrs. Hoehn will be working alongside Mrs. Vandiver this year to support our students and families. She will take the lead in student discipline and assist with building management and community partnerships. We encourage you to reach out to her with any questions or concerns—she is here to support both students and families.
As we continue settling into routines, we would like to remind everyone about drop-off and pick-up traffic procedures:

All cars must enter the carline from Westwood Drive to prevent traffic congestion.

Parents using the carline must remain in their vehicles. Students should enter and exit the car independently and quickly.

If your child needs extra help with seatbelts, backpacks, or exiting the car, please park along Summit Drive and walk your student across the designated crosswalk.

For safety, students should never cross the street alone.
