Shoreham Elementary School
"You Belong Here"
Principal's Update
Hello Shoreham Community ,
It has been an AMAZING start to the school year. Our students have done a great job with following our school expectations by being respectful of themselves, others and our environment in and out of the classroom.
Students have also shown acts of kindness to each other and adults by lending a helping hand to whomever may need it.
I have to say that I am very proud of our students and staff for helping to make this a GREAT week at Shoreham !
Best,
Lashawn Whitmore-Sells

Library News
Library at Shoreham Elementary School
2025 - 2026
Welcome back to another school year!
● Students will be bringing home books on Tuesdays and/or Fridays this year.
● Please help your child remember to bring their books back every week. You can
tell a library book because it will have Shoreham Elementary School stamped in
the front.
● If they have returned their books, all students can borrow 3 books every week.
● If a student forgets to bring back their books (or are still reading them) they are
allowed to borrow up to 5 books total. Books can be borrowed for one week.
Students should return their books to the library on Tuesday or Friday during
class, but can return them the rest of the week, too.
● Sometimes, students may take home other giveaway books. Giveaways always
go home with a note telling you you can keep them. If you want to return
giveaway books, that’s also fine.
● As you may have noticed, we will have 2 library classes per week! Friday’s class
will be focused on building the habits of good readers and selecting books.
Tuesday’s class will be focused on information literacy, love of literature, and
learning about the world through stories and research.
● Questions? Comments? Concerns? Feel free to send me an email at
aadams@acsdvt.org
Read well,
