We've got a ton of exciting updates to share—starting with our brand new website! After a quiet soft launch last week, we've been busy behind the scenes, pulling everything together so you can find all the details about our dogs, our partnerships, and our team in one easy place. Now, future adopters will have a much smoother time checking out which pups are still searching for their forever homes.
There’s also some big news: Vizsla Rescue of Texas will now send every dog that comes their way through Viz Whizz Dogs Rescue. Since I already coordinate for the region and we’ve got such an active Viz Whizz Texas community, it just makes sense. Donations are being directed to us as well—so every dollar helps us care for the many Texas vizslas needing homes.
Please help us welcome Amy Ball to the team! Amy brings years of rescue experience, is a responsible Vizsla breeder, and owns a doggie daycare. She knows this breed inside and out—their quirks, their needs, all of it—and we’re thrilled she’s onboard. With Buckeye Vizsla Rescue in Ohio now closed, Amy will be helping support dogs in both Ohio and Kentucky. We’re in a great spot to keep growing and helping more vizslas in need.
The pace hasn’t slowed this month at all. Seven more vizslas found their forever homes—huge congrats to Ruger, Ruby, Rumor, River, Katie, Chloe, and River (the boy)! Our adopters are amazing—Ruger’s new mom is even flying from Arizona to Cincinnati just to pick him up, then driving all the way home together. That’s dedication.

We want every adopted dog to settle in safely — and that means making sure they can always be found if they ever slip away. That’s why, thanks to Fi Dogs, every pup who finds a new home through us goes home with a free Fi GPS tracking collar. It’s a simple way to give both you and your dog peace of mind. For those first three months after adoption, we ask that you keep your new dog on a leash unless you’re in a fully fenced area. Building a strong recall and earning that off-leash freedom takes time, so let’s set them up to succeed from day one.
