Health Office Helpful Hints - An ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure...

Regular checks for head lice are a good way to spot head lice before they have time to multiply and infest your child's head. Live lice (adults) are hard to find, they avoid light and move quickly. Nits (eggs) will look like small white or yellow-brown specks and be firmly attached to the hair near the scalp. They do not just fall off (like dandruff or dirt), they have to be combed out with the fingernails or extra fine tooth comb. The easiest place to find them is at the hairline at the back of the neck or behind the ears. Remind your children not to share hats, helmets, hair brushes or accessories to prevent sharing head lice. For more information click below.

Be well!

DONATIONS FOR CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS

Hello Eden Valley-Watkins School Community,

As the chill in the air settles in and the days grow shorter, it’s time to pull out our winter gear once again! If you find that your snow pants, boots, or insulated gloves no longer fit, please consider donating them to support students in need this winter.

We are accepting gently used items that are in good condition — no rips, stains, or tears, please.
Boot tread should be at 50% or better.
(Please note: We are not collecting coats at this time due to limited storage space.)

Donations can be placed in the collection boxes located near the offices at Eden Valley Elementary and Eden Valley High School.

Thank you for helping us keep our community warm this winter!
