Each bus will have route numbers posted in windows by Wednesday morning, September 9th.

Reporting Student Absence
Paradise Intermediate uses the SafeArrival system to track student absences. Families are encouraged to set up their accounts prior to the start of the school year using one of three convenient reporting methods:
Mobile App: Download the SchoolMessenger app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (or via go.schoolmessenger.ca). Select Sign Up on your first visit, then go to Attendance > Report an Absence.
Website: Visit go.schoolmessenger.ca, select Sign Up to create an account, and navigate to Attendance > Report an Absence.
Phone: Call the toll-free automated system at (844) 408-9360.
Important Note on Partial Days: SafeArrival only records full-day absences. If your child will miss any portion of the day, please log it as a full-day absence. Our administrative team will update the records to a partial-day status when your child signs in at the main office upon arrival.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to paradiseintermediate@nlesd.ca.
Signing Out Procedures
We recognize that there are many circumstances that may require a student to leave the building throughout the day. These may include, but are not limited to appointments, illness, family emergencies, etc. In order to ensure accurate attendance records, and to ensure your child’s safety, we ask that all parents/guardians adhere to our signing out procedures:
We will require communication with home before a child leaves the building. Upon pick-up the student will come to the office to sign the sign out sheet and verify with the secretary that they are leaving with permission.
If communication with the home hasn’t been made prior to pick-up, then upon pick-up, contact must be made with the parent/guardian to ensure permission to leave the building.
Student Data
Parents/Guardians are asked to please review demographics information on powerschool. If there are any changes to your contact information for this current school year, please notify the office or email paradiseintermediate@nlesd.ca as soon as possible.
