LHS Bi-Weekly Newsletter
December 4, 2025
Dear Cowboy Families,
As December arrives, it brings both the excitement of the holiday season and the final stretch of the first semester. While many of us lean into family traditions and celebrations, we encourage all students to stay focused and finish the semester strong. Your dedication now helps ensure a confident start to the new year. Please review our finals schedule to help your student plan and prepare.
School Highlights & Celebrations
The Brothers Grimm
Livermore High School proudly presented The Brothers Grimm, a fast-paced and witty twist on classic fairy tales brought to life by our talented student cast. The production blended humor, creativity, and heart, delivering an unforgettable performance for our community.
Innovation Tri-Valley Dream Makers & Risk Takers Award
The Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group has honored Livermore High School with a 2025 Dream Makers and Risk Takers Award, recognizing our school’s commitment to student-driven innovation and community impact.
A shining example of this work is the Butterfly Garden Group within our Environmental Action Club. These dedicated students partnered with Fertile Groundworks and the Xerces Conservation Group to build a thriving butterfly garden supporting the local ecosystem with essential Monarch butterfly habitat. Their efforts promote sustainability, biodiversity, and community education.
Looking ahead, the group will host 6th graders from East Avenue and Junction Middle Schools during Earth Day 2026, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.
Student Achievement Spotlight
Congratulations to tenth grader Zoe Zabrowski, who earned first place at the Young Pizza Makers Competition at the Florida Restaurant Show / Pizza Tomorrow Summit—winning the title of 2025 Young Pizza Maker of the Year! She also received the Pizza Prodigy honor from the U.S. Pizza Team. Her award-winning pizza, the Pig in Paradise, will soon appear as a Spotlight Pizza at Much Ado About Pizza.
Teacher Recognition
We are proud to recognize Mr. Gabe Castro, honored as part of the 49ers’ Teacher of the Game program. He was celebrated for his creativity, passion, and commitment to creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, connected, and seen. His work through Cowboy Alley Productions, the Cowboy Alley Film Festival, CBNN, and Operation Needledrop highlights his dedication to amplifying student voice and building community.
Academics, Attendance & Expectations
At Livermore High School, cell phones should be off and put away during class unless a teacher has permitted their use for instruction. Phones used without permission may be held until the end of class or the school day.
Attendance and punctuality continue to be essential for student success. Excessive absences or tardies may result in the loss of school privileges, including dances, extracurriculars, and senior events. Thank you for helping ensure every day counts!
