Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another busy and exciting week in school, with lots of learning and activities to share with you.

Phonics Meeting
Thank you to all our Reception and Year 1 parents who attended the phonics session. It was great to show you how we use Little Wandle to support early reading and how you can continue this learning at home.

Welcome to Year 6

Our Year 6 pupils have been busy settling into their new responsibilities. We shared our expectations for behaviour and learning, and they were inspired by a visit from our former head pupils, who gave a fantastic insight into life at high school.

Homework Spotlight: Times Tables Rockstars

We’ve noticed a big improvement in the children’s effort with Times Tables Rockstars—well done! Let’s keep up the momentum so we can celebrate with a fun ‘Rockstar Day’ at the end of this half term.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

Mel Walmsley

We had our first meeting of the school year this week, and it was a great start!

Here’s what we covered:

  • A debrief on the successful 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿, celebrating what worked well and sharing ideas for how we can make it even better next year.

  • Planning out our 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱, lots of exciting things to come, including a few events just for the grown ups (keep your eyes peeled ).

  • Early thoughts about the 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿, which we’ll begin planning properly very soon.

We hope everyone is settling back into the school routine in their new classrooms. A special mention goes to our new starters, we hope the children loved their 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝗸 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 .

𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲!

Our 𝘈𝘎𝘔 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺 11𝘵𝘩 𝘕𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘵 7:30𝘱𝘮 at The White Horse Pub.

This is an open meeting, everyone is welcome! We’ll also start planning the Christmas Fair then, so it’s a great chance to get involved.

𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲…
