Principal Message
A Time to Remember, Reflect and Recharge
As we head into our November break, I want to take a moment to wish all of our students and families a restful and enjoyable week away from school. November is a time when we pause to reflect, remember and show gratitude for the many blessings in our lives.
As we approach Remembrance Day on November 11, we are reminded of the courage, sacrifice and selflessness of the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country. It is important that we take time to remember those who gave so much so that we may enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we have today. May we honour their sacrifice not only with a moment of silence, but by choosing to live with kindness, compassion, peace and respect for one another. We remember, we give thanks, and we pray for peace in our world.
I also have a little news to share! I am away for the week after November break. Mr. Don Marceau is looking forward to returning to STL as principal for the week following the November break. Mr. Marceau is a former principal of STL and is excited to connect with our students and staff, hear about all the exciting things happening around the school, and continue the great work we are doing together as a faith-filled community. He is an amazing educator and colleague and I know he will love spending the week with us here at STL! Please welcome him.
In the meantime, I encourage everyone to enjoy some well-deserved time with family and friends. Take time to slow down, get outside, share a few laughs and make some special memories.
May God bless our STL families with a safe, peaceful and refreshing November break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back!
With gratitude and blessings,
Kristie Phelan
