From the AGIS Team!
Dear AGIS Families,
Our students have been putting in incredible effort on their Exact Path assessments, and their updated, individualized learning paths will be set to guide their academic progress shortly. Alongside all that hard work, students and staff had an absolute blast during Recess Power Ups—exploring the nature trail, getting creative with arts and crafts, and cheering each other on as they landed teachers and principals straight into the dunk tank! Thank you for your continued support as we keep this great energy going.
Your partners in education,
Kelly Vaughn, Principal
Brian Wallace, Assistant Principal
Melissa Ricketts, Assistant Principal
Anthony DiEmidio, Dean of Students

Making Our Mark on International Dot Day!
Second grade had a blast celebrating International Dot Day! Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ beloved book The Dot—a story about how a teacher helps a student build confidence starting with a single dot—our students spent the day exploring creativity, perseverance, and kindness.
Our second graders showed off their style in dot-themed outfits, created original dot artwork, and reflected on how they can "make their mark" on the world through writing. We capped off the day by bringing the entire grade level together for a fun afternoon of Dot Day Bingo! Ask your student how they plan to make their mark this year!

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports - PBIS
This week, our school community is shifting our focus to what it means to Be Responsible, with a special emphasis on cleaning up after ourselves. We are teaching students that taking care of our shared spaces—whether putting away learning materials in the classroom, clearing trash at lunch, or tidying up the playground—shows respect for our school and pride in our community.
You can support this effort at home by involving your child in daily routines, such as clearing their dinner plate, putting away toys, or organizing their school supplies for the next day. Praising their initiative when they clean up without being asked helps build lifelong habits of accountability and pride in their surroundings.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we help our students grow into respectful, responsible leaders!
