MID-YEAR EXAM SCHEDULE 2026
Mid-Year Exams are taking place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week.
As a reminder to all students and parents, mid-year exam days are still full days of school and all students are expected to attend all classes on these days. Please do not send any emails or notes to the attendance office requesting that your child go home.
Attendance for mid-year exams is mandatory. Failure to report for a mid-term or final exam without a medical excuse or advance permission from the building principal may result in a 0 for the exam grade.
Senior students with an overall course average of 93% or above during the final exam testing window may be exempt from taking the final exam for that course. All students are required to take midterm exams for full-year courses.
Senior Privilege is not applicable for students taking Advanced Placement courses.

BAVTS TRIP FOR INTERESTED FRESHMEN
Attention freshmen!
On Monday, January 26, 2026, there will be a field trip to BAVTS for any students who are interested in attending next year.
We will go to BAVTS for a half day in the morning and return before lunch.
Permissions slips were distributed in English classes and should be returned to the Counseling Office by Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
If you would like to attend but did not get a permission slip, stop by the Counseling Office.
Please contact Ms. Fisher or Mr. Dezzi with questions.
Keystone Assessment Retest Information
Beginning January 6, our school will administer Keystone Assessment retests.
Students who did not achieve a proficient score (1500) on a previous Keystone exam have been evaluated to determine whether retesting is necessary in order to meet state graduation pathway requirements.
Families of students scheduled to participate in retesting have already been notified.
Testing sessions will take place during both morning and afternoon periods, and participating students will miss classes at Saucon Valley High School during their assigned testing times.
BAVTS students will test while they are at Saucon Valley High School on the assigned testing days.
If a student is absent during the scheduled retesting day, make-up testing sessions will be provided.
Please note, participation in a make-up session may result in missed classes at BAVTS.
BAVTS is aware of our testing schedule and requirements of re-testing.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work to ensure all students meet the requirements for graduation.
Should you have any questions, please contact your child's counselor.
Keystone Re-testing Schedule:
- BIOLOGY - Tuesday, January 6th and Wednesday, January 7th
- ALGEBRA - Thursday, January 8th and Friday, January 9th
- LITERATURE - Tuesday, January 13th and Wednesday, January 14th

Upcoming Counseling Groups for Students
Next semester, our High School Counseling Department will be offering several small-group counseling opportunities for students. These groups provide a safe, supportive space for students to learn new skills, connect with peers, and receive guidance in areas that many teens find challenging. Participation is voluntary, and groups will meet once a week during the school day.
Our upcoming counseling groups include:
- DBT Skills Group - Students will learn practical tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help them manage emotions, stay calm under stress, improve relationships, and make positive decisions.
- Social Skills Group - This group helps students strengthen communication skills, build healthy friendships, feel more confident in social situations, and practice teamwork and problem-solving.
- Grief & Loss Group - Designed for students who have experienced the loss of a loved one or a major life change, this group provides a compassionate space to explore emotions, share experiences, and learn healthy coping strategies.
- Anger Management Group - Students will learn how to recognize anger triggers, express feelings in healthier ways, use calming strategies, and reduce conflict at school and at home.
- Stress & Anxiety Group - This group teaches students how to manage daily stress, challenge unhelpful thoughts, practice relaxation techniques, and build resilience.
If you feel your child may benefit from participating in one of these groups, please reach out to Ms. Angela Rohrbaugh, High School Counselor, at angela.rohrbaugh@svpanthers.org or 610-838-7001 ext. 2715. We are here to support your student’s well-being and success.
