DEC 15 - DEC 20
🎄 Farewell 2025: A Holiday Greeting to Oak Ridge Families, Students, Faculty, and Community Members:
We've officially entered the final stretch of the calendar year, and it is truly hard to believe that the first half of the 2025-2026 school year is already coming to a close! We only have five more school days left until the Christmas and Holiday break! I am incredibly blessed and grateful to be a part of this wonderful Oak Ridge community, and I want to wish all of our families the very best during this special time of year. Don't forget to participate in our last five dress-up Spirit Days as we celebrate the season and get into the holiday spirit! Please note that the last day for both students and teachers is Friday, December 19th. To help you and your student plan for the end of the semester, don't forget to review the Final Exam Schedule that is attached. Please be aware that second-semester grades for all secondary students (7th-12th grade) will not be officially finalized until 8:00 AM on Wednesday, January 7th. This allows for the completion of any missed finals or adjustments due to a possible inclement weather day between now and December 19th.
🎲 Support Our "Bin of Fun" Lunchtime Games!
We are looking to expand our "Bin of Fun" to provide students with more opportunities for fun and positive social interaction during their lunch periods! If you have any new or gently used games that you would like to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. We are specifically looking for easy, small-group games (four players or less) such as:
- Card Games: Uno, regular playing cards, Exploding Kittens, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, Rook, and SkipBo.
- Board/Table Games: Checkers, Jenga, Yahtzee, Break the Ice, Operation, and Connect Four.
- Puzzles: Puzzles with 100 pieces or less.
- Any contribution will help make our lunch times even more engaging! Thank you for considering supporting this effort. Just drop off at the High School Office anytime!
Let's make these final days together strong, successful, and filled with holiday cheer!

Feed My Starving Children - December 6, 2025
Our STUCO students spent this past Saturday, serving at Feed My Starving Children! We’re so proud of their commitment to giving back and making a real impact in the lives of children around the world. They worked hard packing meals, working as a team, and showing what true leadership and service look like. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time — you represented our school with kindness, energy, and heart!

Nurse's Corner!
RE: reminders from the nurse
Please make sure you have all of the required information provided to the nurse’s office by the first day of school. Below is the information you will need to provide:
Updated health information. This is completed with student’s online enrollment. Please include any new medication/diagnosis information.
Proof of immunizations that are required by the state of Missouri. Students who have already submitted this information do not need to submit it again UNLESS your student is entering kindergarten, 8th or 12th grade. All kindergarten students should receive immunizations after their 4th birthday and will need to have proof of this submitted to the nurse office. All 8th grade students should receive a TDap and meningitis immunization which should have been administered after the age of 10. All 12th grade students should receive an additional meningitis shot which should have been administered after the age of 16. Appropriate exemptions are accepted and should be submitted if applicable.
The only prescription medication that students are allowed to carry with them are emergency medications such a inhaler or Epi-pen which must meet the following requirements: prescription is on file in the nurse office, self administration form signed by both student and parent, and the medication is labeled with student’s name.
Any medication that you wish to be administered by the school nurse requires you to fill out a Medication Request Form. Medication should only be brought to school by a parent. Student’s are not allowed to carry medication unless authorized by a physician and nurse.
If your child has Asthma, Diabetes, Allergies or seizures an action plan must be filled out and signed. Action plans are available in the nurse office. If your child has a food allergy and requires substitution in the cafeteria, they will need to fill out a Medical Statement for Student Requiring Special Meals form.
A few reminders from the nurse for this year:
A fever is considered over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If your student has a fever they will be sent home. Students cannot return to school until they are fever free (below 100) without the use of tylenol or ibuprofen for 24 hours.
If your child requires the use of OTC medications more than a few times, you may be asked to send in a bottle with their name written on it.
Thank you for your help and cooperation. You are welcome to email updated information as well as call with any questions you may have.

- If you take medications please make sure they are kept in the nurse's office. No students should be carrying medications on them at anytime at school!
