Fisher Family Update
August 23, 2024

Dear Fisher Families,
I hope you all enjoyed the summer and are as excited as we are to begin the 2024-2025 school year! The teachers have been busy setting up their classrooms and are eager to welcome their students on Wednesday, August 28th. The custodians have been hard at work throughout the (very hot) summer getting the school prepared for our students and teachers. Fisher School is ready and looking great! This time of year is always filled with great anticipation and after almost 30 years in education, I still get those annual butterflies!
Like every year, there are new initiatives for us to take on and many standards to teach but our first priority is to welcome your students back and establish a positive learning environment in their classroom and throughout our school. Our teachers understand and embrace the importance of forging positive relationships with their students and fostering a collaborative and cooperative community of students. Those first few days will be filled with opportunities for students to get to know one another, their teachers and settle into the new routines of their classroom.
August 28th (September 3rd for Kindergarteners) is just the first step in our journey through this school year. There will be good days and bad, celebrations and challenges, ups and downs but we are a team. Your goals are our goals. We want all our students to be happy, healthy and make effective progress in all areas. If at any time you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact your student’s teacher(s) or me. It’s going to be a great year and we look forward to partnering with you and welcoming our students as they walk through our doors next Wednesday.
Please be sure to read through this edition of the Fisher Family Update for upcoming meetings and events.
Welcome Back!
Brian
