Dear Parents and Guardians,
As a follow-up to the serious incident on September 24th, we want to share the steps we are taking to support our students.
This week, Chris Scheufele, a previously scheduled speaker, will address students about resiliency. Following the assembly, students will return to their Character Strong classes to learn how to use the SafeSchools Tipline.
In these lessons, students will:
- Bookmark the tipline website
- Add the tipline contact information to their phones, if they have one
- Learn about the idea of "See Something, Say Something" and why reporting concerns matters
The SafeSchools Tipline accepts reports about bullying, harassment, intimidation, weapons, drugs, and threats through any of these options:
We encourage you to talk with your student at home about speaking up when something doesn't feel safe, and to save this information on your own phone as well. If you have questions, please contact the school office.
