The News The News

It's Halloween Week! Be prepared!

Our football team closed out region play this week with an easy win over Falkville. After dropping the first three games, they have now won six straight heading into the final regular season game at Hackleburg on Thursday night. Now we await playoff seeding. The playoff picture is clear as mud but it appears the most likely scenario is a second seed and hosting Pleasant Valley. All of that could change depending on outcomes in multiple games Thursday and Friday. The best explanation is pictured below.

Again, football will travel to Hackleburg on Thursday night this week to close out the regular season. Our Senior Pep Rally will be in the gym Thursday at 2:15pm.

Friday is Halloween Eve. Students may wear there best costumes so long as there is no masks worn to school and no face paint. We will have our annual Trunk or Treat with the elementary school and Friday evening our drama department will host SpookTacular In The Square (see more information below).

Congratulations to our band on a successful final competition brining home a Superior Rating. In subcategories: Drum Major (Superior), Color Guard (Excellent), Majorette (Excellent), Percussion (Excellent).

Our junior high basketball teams opened their seasons with wins over Haleyville.

Have A Creepy, Spooky, Thrilling Week!

SpookTacular In the Square SpookTacular In the Square

From Jonathan Grimes, our Drama Department sponsor:

PHIL CAMPBELL, ARE YOU READY FOR SOMETHING SPOOKTACULAR?!

The Phil Campbell High School Drama Department is proud to present our first-ever…
SPOOKTACULAR IN THE SQUARE!

Friday, October 30, 2026 setup starting at 3:45 event official start at 5:00 pm
Phil Campbell High School Square and back parking lot
FREE ADMISSION — OPEN TO EVERYONE!

We’re working hard to create a fun-filled Halloween evening for our students, families, and the entire community! Imagine an evening filled with spooky lighting, rolling fog, Halloween sights and sounds, delicious concessions, and some exciting entertainment provided by our talented drama students!

But we have an idea that could make this night even MORE special, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

CALLING ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS, CHURCHES, BUSINESSES, CLUBS, AND ORGANIZATIONS!

We are exploring the possibility of adding a TRUNK-OR-TREAT in the back parking lot as part of our Spooktacular celebration!

We would LOVE to have members of our community decorate their vehicles, bring candy, and help us provide a fun and memorable Halloween experience for children and families.

Would YOU, your church, business, organization, or family be interested in participating?

If so, PLEASE let us know!
Email: jonathangrimes@franklin.k12.al.us

At this point, we’re simply trying to gauge community interest to see if we can make the Trunk-or-Treat happen. The more participation we have, the bigger and better we can make this event!

OUR BIGGER DREAM…

We don’t want Spooktacular in the Square to be just another school event. We want it to become a community tradition — something our children, families, and neighbors look forward to year after year!

We would love to see our schools, local businesses, churches, organizations, and families come together to make this a special evening for Phil Campbell.

And who knows? If our community embraces this event, we might just have another special celebration in the works for CHRISTMAS?

MORE DETAILS COMING IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS!

In the meantime, please LIKE, SHARE, AND TAG anyone you think might want to participate in our Trunk-or-Treat!

Let’s come together, Phil Campbell, and make our first SPOOKTACULAR IN THE SQUARE a night to remember!
