Principal's Greeting
Dear Churchill Families,
We are proud to have 605 students at Churchill School this year—each one valued, supported, and reminded daily that they Belong Here and will Grow Here. As part of that growth, our students will take the NWEA MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) Assessment. Developed by the Northwest Evaluation Association, this assessment provides valuable data that helps us make informed instructional decisions to support each child’s academic progress. Students will take the MAP assessment three times throughout the school year to help us monitor their growth over time. Additionally, the MAP assessment serves as a predictor of student performance on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR).
Testing will begin on Monday, September 8th. To help your child do their best, please ensure they get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. If your child plans to eat breakfast at school, please make sure they arrive by 8:15 AM. We will send home your child’s results once testing is complete. Thank you for trusting us to teach, support, and care for your child every day.
Have a wonderful week,
Mrs. Peacock

Gentle Reminder for PE Class
To keep all of our Bulldogs safe, students may not wear Crocs, flip-flops, slippers, or similar footwear to PE class. Students must wear secure, sturdy gym shoes in order to safely participate in activities.
Gym shoes may be kept at school in cubbies or lockers for convenience. Thank you for helping us ensure that all students stay safe and ready to learn during PE class!
