Notes from the Office
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I am thankful that the rain only kept us in a little bit this eek and our students were still able to get outside and enjoy recess! This is a great time to remind you to make sure your child has a spare pair of pants in their locker/backpack. Students get wet, it happens. Having a spare pair of pants helps us change them quickly and continue with the day.
Spring is a great time for families to explore and learn together outdoors. Take a walk around your neighborhood or a local park and encourage your child to look for signs of spring such as budding trees, blooming flowers, birds building nests, and insects returning. Children can collect leaves, observe clouds, or listen for different bird sounds. Simple activities like planting seeds, drawing what they see in nature, or having a backyard picnic help children stay active while discovering the changes that come with the new season. 🌷🌱🦋

The Mighty Munch Madness
Our students are participating in their own March Madness bracket. The Mighty Munch Madness is going on this month in the Primary Cafeteria by sampling different fruits and vegetables that they may not have tried before. Thank you to Jodi Bushrow for taking my crazy idea and bringing it to fruition!
This week we have tried:
Grapefruit vs. Avacado - with avacado moving forward on the bracket
Beets vs. Kiwi - with kiwi moving foward on the bracket
Students are not required to sample the items, but they have been excited to participate in our unique spin on March Madness! We can not wait for next week's pairings.
Loose Parts Shed
Thank you to the families who have sponsored items for our shed! We have added more items to our list if you want to help fill the shed. As we think of more items we need, we will add those items to the list. If you ever want to chat about the shed, I am more than willing to share our vision for it and other items that we need that you might have at your house.
Mama Mia Musical
Make plans to attend Edwardsburg High School’s Spring Musical, Mamma Mia! Performances will be held at the Edwardsburg Performing Arts Center on March 20, 21, and 22. Watch next week’s Intermediate Info. Newsletter, as well as Facebook, for addittonal details and a link to order tickets. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended as performances may sell out.
