Sixth Grade Family Suggestion Survey

As we look ahead to welcoming next year’s sixth graders, we’re reflecting on how to provide a superior student experience in sixth grade. If you have a moment, please share your thoughts on what helped—or what could have helped—your student feel more confident navigating lockers, finding classrooms, and adjusting to a new building. Your insights make a big difference!

Keep the Learning Going This Summer!

As summer approaches, we want to help students stay sharp while still having fun! A little practice over the break can go a long way in preventing the summer slide. Here are a few easy ways to keep brains engaged:

  • Math Review – The Summer Solutions Math Workbook is a great way for students to review key 6th grade standards and get a head start on 7th grade. Just a few pages a week can make a big difference!

  • ELA Support – Check out the "For Families" section on Lexia for ideas on how to support reading and language skills at home. You’ll find simple tips and engaging activities that make literacy fun.

  • Read & Journal – Encourage your child to read books they love and keep a summer journal. Whether they’re writing about what they read, adventures they’ve had, or even just their thoughts, it all counts!

  • Explore and Be a Kid! – Some of the best learning happens off the page. Get outside, visit a museum or park, cook something together, or just let curiosity lead the way. Summer is a great time to make memories and keep learning.

Have a fantastic summer full of fun, growth, and discovery!
