January has been a bit of a bumpy ride but we are hopeful that things will smooth out with the weather and have some consistency in school operations. We miss our students and are eager to get started with the new semester. In an effort to get our students back in the building quickly, the district has made arrangements for our make up exams to take place on the workday (Tuesday) so that we can start the new semester on Wednesday. Yay! We will be prepared for a remote learning day if we end up with any more inclement weather but we are hopeful that we can have school in person.
Choice School Programs Application is OPEN!
As a magnet school, we are able to accept Franklin County residents from outside the Louisburg district to attend LMHS as magnet students. Magnet students are able to engage in project-based learning with a STEM focus at LMHS as well as several career-focused CTE courses. Students are also able to apply for the STEM Academy, which is a small cohort of students that take STEM courses and complete Grand Challenge projects together throughout their four years of high school. The LMHS magnet application is open through Friday, February 7, 2025. More information can be found here.

This group of athletes has worked so hard and is still at it! Come out and watch them this Wednesday night at LMHS! It is also Senior Night!
Mr. Folks
This week we would like to shine the Warrior Spotlight on Mr. Folks and our amazing child nutrition staff. This group of people take to heart the importance of feeding our students. They also take on additional duties such as driving buses, working the gate at sporting events, and many other things behind the scenes. We appreciate the love and concern they show for all of our students and the time and dedication they demonstrate to keep food in our bellies and smiles on our faces. Thank you!
