Important Guidelines for Our Wildwood Community
We had a wonderful first week together and kicked things off with terrific conduct assemblies to set a positive tone for the year. As we move forward, we’d like to highlight a few important school protocols and guidelines for all families to review in this newsletter:
8:05 First Bell Message
Excessive Heat Protocols
Mobile Communication Device Policy Update
Wildwood Birthday Guidelines
Please take time to read, know, and follow these guidelines outlined below so we can ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for every Wildwood student.
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch
8:05AM Bell - What does it mean for you?
Please remember that the 8:05am bell is a reminder for all of us:
- for students to make their way to their classroom lines
- for parents to make their way to the campus exits
- for teachers to pick up students at their lines and begin the day.
Excessive Heat Protocols
Please Note:
To support the effectiveness of this new policy, any phone and/or watch with messaging capabilities (even without SIM card or on "school mode") may NOT be on a student's person during school hours. These devices should either be left at home or placed securely in your child's backpack. During the school day, ALL student-home communications will take place through the Wildwood office. Thank you for your cooperation.
Wildwood Birthday Guidelines
At Wildwood Elementary, we love celebrating students on their birthdays! Please know that you do not need to send treats or gifts—our teachers take great pride in making sure each child feels special on their big day.
If you’d like to contribute something, please:
-
Do not send food items (including for before- or after-school distribution).
-
Instead, consider small non-edible items (stickers, pencils, etc.) or a class gift such as a board game, book, or puzzle labeled with your child’s name and birthday.
Birthday Party Invitations
To keep things fair and inclusive, staff has agreed on the following guidelines:
-
TK & Kindergarten: Teachers may assist in placing invitations in Wednesday folders only if the entire class is invited.
-
Grades 1–5: Students may pass out invitations after school and outside the classroom if the entire class is invited.
-
If only some students are invited, invitations may not be distributed at school.
By working together, we can make sure every birthday is joyful while supporting the wellness and sense of belonging of all members of our Tiger family.

School meals for the 2025-2026 school year will be available to all students at no charge. Although all students will receive free meals through the duration of this school year, we request for all families to complete this Online Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility for School Year 2025-2026 form, as this form affects a variety of areas unrelated to school meals, including school funding, college application fees, SAT fees, bus passes and more. Even if your child does not plan to eat school lunches, it is important to fill out this form to help ensure our schools and families receive the available resources.

Make it personal!
Now is a GREAT time to get student names on lunch bags and water bottles. Please do your part to prevent loss of personal items by labeling student belongings. This small act also saves school staff hours of time over the course of a school year trying to reunite students with their belongings.
2025-26 Lost & Found Protocol: All Lost & Found items will be removed from campus and donated to a good cause on the last day of EACH month. Please do your part to remind your children to bring personal items home each day, and we will assist as well.
