Digital Learning Day
On October 8, 2026, RHHS will host Digital Learning Day using a differentiated schedule by grade level.
Students in grades 9–11 will report to campus and participate in scheduled grade-level activities during first and second blocks. Following those activities, students will transition to a modified bell schedule for lunch, third block, and fourth block.
Students in grade 12 will participate in Seniors Serve, an off-campus learning opportunity that provides seniors with two pathways for completing their Digital Learning Day attendance and participation requirements.
RHHS proposes that seniors participate in Seniors Serve, a Digital Learning Day initiative that combines student choice, digital learning, personal responsibility, and community engagement.
Seniors will not report to campus for the regular instructional day. Instead, they will select one of two approved options.
Option 1: Digital Learning
Seniors may complete assigned Digital Learning Day grade-level assignment(s) through Google Classroom.
Students will be responsible for:
Accessing the designated senior Digital Learning Day assignment(s) in Google Classroom.
Completing all required learning activities.
Submitting the required assignment(s) by the established deadline.
Completing the associated Google Form, which will serve as documentation and proof of attendance.
Completion of the Google Form and required academic assignment(s) will document the student's participation in Digital Learning Day.
Option 2: Community Service
Seniors may choose to use the day to serve their community through an approved community-based service opportunity inspired by GADOE’s Statewide Day of Service.
Students choosing this pathway will:
Identify and participate in an appropriate community service activity.
Complete the required service activity on Digital Learning Day.
Obtain verification of their service from the supervising organization or individual.
Upload a completed Community Service Verification Letter to the designated attendance Google Form.
Submit the Google Form as documentation of attendance and completion.
This opportunity will allow seniors to demonstrate citizenship, leadership, responsibility, and service while contributing positively to the surrounding community through various pre-arranged service opportunities. Students will be responsible for transportation to and from their chosen service project location.
