Dear North Penn Community,

As we close another school year, I want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude and pride on all we have accomplished together during the 2025–2026 school year.

This season is always filled with celebration, and few moments capture the spirit of our community more than graduation. Watching our seniors cross the stage at Crawford Stadium reminds us that education is about more than academic achievement. It’s about growth, resilience, opportunity, and preparing students for what comes next. Commencement is an incredible accomplishment for our students and a reflection of the collective support of families, staff, and our community.

As we approached graduation last week, changing weather forecasts required us to prepare for multiple scenarios. Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community members for your flexibility and understanding as we worked to ensure a safe and meaningful celebration for the Class of 2026.

While we celebrate our graduates, we also celebrate students across every grade level and every school. This year, North Penn students achieved remarkable success in academics, the arts, athletics, leadership, and service. From our youngest learners reaching important milestones to students earning recognition at every level, there is much to celebrate across our district.

This year also brought exciting progress on the renovation of North Penn High School. This important investment honors the school’s history while creating modern learning spaces that will serve generations of students to come. We also welcomed new members to the North Penn School Board and we thank all board directors for their leadership and commitment to public education.

North Penn’s success is built through a partnership of students, families, staff, volunteers, and community members who all play a role in creating opportunities for our children. Thank you for your continued support and for making this another outstanding year.

I wish you a wonderful summer filled with time to relax, reconnect, and celebrate all we have accomplished together.

Sincerely,

Todd M. Bauer

Learning Continues Across North Penn This Summer

While summer vacation is officially underway, many North Penn students are continuing their learning through a variety of summer programs offered by the Curriculum Department.

This summer, students are participating in Elementary Virtual Enrichment, a flexible online program that provides engaging, hands-on, and technology-based learning experiences designed to reinforce grade-level skills and encourage continued growth. Other students are attending SPARK (Summer Program for Academic Readiness for Knights), where targeted reading and math instruction helps strengthen foundational skills and build academic confidence.

North Penn's Elementary English Language Development program is also supporting our beginners as they continue developing their English language skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. Later this summer, incoming kindergarten students will have the opportunity to participate in Kindergarten Readiness Camp, where they can build school-readiness skills, become familiar with classroom routines, and prepare for a successful transition to elementary school.

Together, these programs reflect North Penn's commitment to enhancing the equity of experiences for all students by providing access to meaningful learning opportunities and support throughout the summer months. We are grateful to the educators, staff members, and families who make these programs possible and help ensure that learning continues well beyond the last day of school.

Pennbrook Students Paint Mural

Students at Pennbrook Middle School have painted a mural outside of the cafeteria thanks to a grant from the NPSD Educational Foundation! The mural represents the Lenape tribe, as Pennbrook Middle School sits on Lenape land. Students in the Art Club at Pennbrook worked on the mural to create a lasting visual tribute to the Lenape and educate the entire North Penn community while instilling pride and respect for cultural diversity. This photo is of the mural in-progress.

Kulp Celebrates Reading is Fundamental (RIF)

First graders at Kulp got to celebrate reading with the annual Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program! This day's theme focused on author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds. His books focus on themes of creativity, self-expression, confidence, courage, kindness, and more! Students participated in a variety of activities, including crafts charades, self portraits, acrostic poems, and finished the day by getting to pick out their very own book to take home and keep. Funding for books is provided by the NPSD Educational Foundation, and the A.M. Kulp Home and School Association provided the materials for activity stations.
