Family Update
Davis Middle School
September 19, 2025
Happy Friday, Davis Families!
I want to thank everyone who had any part in our PTO APEX Color Games Fundraiser! Whether you donated, spread the word to potential donors, volunteered your time on Thursday to help out, or simply endured all of the texts and emails š and cheered us on...THANK YOU! The fundraiser was extremely successful for our PTO and was a lot of fun for our students and staff. The spirit that our students showed during the last two weeks was super contagious and we hope to carry it on throughout the year. Finally, thank you to our PTO and especially, Melinda Norfleet, for all of the behind the scenes work. We are truly lucky to have such a great partnership between Davis and our PTO!
Have a great weekend.
Go Irish!
Jaime

Chromebook Reminders:
Tech fees must be paid now to be covered for the remainder of the school year. If the tech fee is not paid, the studentās family will be responsible for any repair costs.
ā Tech Fee: The $50 annual technology fee covers repairs caused by unintentional damage https://payschoolscentral.com/
Itās very important to keep the protective cover on student Chromebooks at all times.
To ensure the longevity and functionality of Chromebooks issued to students, each device is equipped with a protective snap-on case. This case is specifically designed to protect the Chromebook from impacts, scratches, and general wear and tear.
Important Guidelines:
Keep the Case On: Students must keep the protective case intact at all times to safeguard the device and maintain eligibility for repairs.
Do Not Remove Without Authorization: If the protective case is intentionally removed without explicit permission from the building principal, the device will no longer be eligible for repair coverage under the district's policy.
Damaged or Lost Case Replacement: If the protective case is damaged or needs to be replaced, the cost to replace it is $25, which will be charged to the studentās account. Please contact Davis librarian Meggan Aston if you need a replacement cover. aston_meggan@dublinschools.net

Spring 2026 8th Grade Washington, DC Trip
Incoming 8th Grade Families,
This is just a reminder that it is time to register your student with Prodigy Travel if they will be joining the Washington, DC trip in May. We have urged students who are interested to work to help with the cost of the trip...it may help them appreciate it that much more! Mowing, mulching or pulling weeds, raking leaves, and shoveling snow in the winter in the neighborhood are all good ways to get started.
Here is the link to all of the DC information including the Prodigy website to create an account, register for the trip, and make payments.
For families who were unable to attend the informational meeting last spring, we will be having another informational meeting on October 1 at 7:30PM in the DMS Commons.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ms. Wilhelm, 8th grade team lead and DC advisor.
