Online Submission closes April 1, 2025

In our attempt to conform as closely as possible with the National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), all forms necessary to participate at the Wyoming Leadership and Skills State Conference (SLSC) will be submitted prior to arriving in Gillette or Casper, and electronically, online.

Due by 4/1/2025:

RESUMES

LIABILITY FORMS specific to WY! (ONLY found in the 2025 SLSC Guide> Page 10>Wyoming Updates)

PROOF of COURSEWORK (safety certifications and/or coursework verification as dictated by certain technical standards)

Due BY 4/11/2025:

  • PORTFOLIOS
  • BINDERS
  • BLUEPRINTS (welding fabrication)

After submitting your Liability Form and Resume, you'll see a pop-up message stating:

"Thank you for filling out the form. Your response has been recorded."

If you're competing in an event that requires additional materials—such as a binder, portfolio, or blueprints—to be uploaded by April 11th, you will receive a confirmation email containing further instructions and a new upload link. Please check your spam or junk folder if you don't see this email in your inbox.

Competitions requiring these additional uploads include:

  • American Spirit
  • Chapter Display
  • Community Service
  • Job Interview
  • Promotional Bulletin Board
  • Welding Sculpture

Pre-Conference Submissions BEST PRACTICES

  • Schedule mandatory chapter meeting(s) between now and 4/1.
    • Require all the above documents, in PDF form, and titled as instructed (The Guide) for said meeting. Check your student's work:
      • Resumes are one page PDF and doc is titled, correctly.
      • Liability form is a PDF a completed in its entirety and signed by a parent/guardian if under 18 years of age.
    • Have students open The Guide > Page 10 > Wyoming Updates and follow instructions at the top for uploading forms. Once in the form, they will check ALL APPLICABLE COMPETITIONS for a one-and-done process.
    • IF the student's contest(s) require additional uploads, an email will be sent containing the link to do so directly after the liability form/resume/certifications or safety are uploaded successfully. The additional submissions are due by April 11.
  • Keep a record of the chapter's progress for the entire chapter to see (EXAMPLE: white board or a piece of paper on the wall with a grid and "check off" procedure for each member). This promotes accountability, and all eyes are watching the progress!
  • Express to students that failure to make this a priority will jeopardize their ability to attend and compete at state conference.

  • ALL ATTENDEES - including ADVISORS must submit a liability form.

SHARE THE GUIDE to View the Updates on Page 10!

The SkillsUSA WY 2025 SLSC Guide is your #1 Resource for successful registration, planning, and preparation! Baking and Culinary updates were added on the 17th, and expect CNC Programmer, Technical Drafting and more on Monday, March 24th.

Share The Guide with your members, today!

It is a living document; please do not print as updates are made weekly for you within the links provided.

Have your competitors seen the Technical Standards?

A common and unfortunate theme in our competition feedback from judges and technical chairmen is that registered competitors were ill-prepared or worse, had no idea what they were doing.

If you have not provided the technical standards in areas of interest to your members, this is a disservice to your members, our judges, and our organization.

Members should feel confident and prepared in all areas listed in a competition's Technical Standards or the advisor should reserve said student for the following year.
