December Character Trait - Empathy

We're talking all about empathy at Donald Eismann! Empathy is one way we can show kindness. It means understanding and connecting to other people's feelings. We can connect with others in many ways, like listening carefully when someone is telling you something about themselves, being a friend when someone is sad, and showing that you want to understand how they feel. Encourage your child to look for opportunities to understand and connect with others today!

Welcome our New Nurse - Erika Cullen

I grew up in Southern California and graduated from USC in 2003, I was an Army Nurse 2003-2009 mainly worked in critical care (pediatric, medical and surgical). My husband is in the Army and I have 2 sons and a daughter. We arrived in July from Texas where I worked the last 3 years as a school nurse in a High School. My favorite things: hanging out with my little family, watching college (Fight On!) and NFL (Bear Down and Go Hawks!) football, doing DIY projects, and listening to true crime podcasts. I look forward to collaborating with staff in promoting health and helping keep our students safe and healthy so they can focus on learning. If you have any questions or concerns about a student, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Attendance waiver application window opening soon

For those living outside the DEE boundaries, attendance waiver applications for the 2023-24 school year must be submitted between Dec. 15, 2022, and Jan. 27, 2023, for optimal consideration. Waiver applications submitted after Jan. 27 may be considered if it’s determined that grade level and building capacity allows. Visit the Attendance Waiver webpage for the types of waivers, timelines and more information. In-district waivers do not need to be renewed for the same school; out-of-district waivers must be renewed each year.

Exploring Winter

Our winter season has been going full blast all month! Our Explorers have enjoyed playing in the snow at recess, dressing up for the season and the Bonney Lake High School choirs coming to sing carols.
