As we get ready to welcome our students back to school next week, we wanted to share a few friendly reminders and make sure you've caught up on all the important info from the school district. Our team has been working hard to prepare for your student's arrival next Tuesday, and we're so excited to see everyone!
Please take a few moments to read through this newsletter – it's packed with helpful information for the upcoming school year.
We hope you will consider joining our PTSO. This wonderful group supports our school in so many ways. https://www.aai-ptso.com/
We look forward to making the 25-26 school year an AMAZING AVENGER YEAR!

Important Information for the First Days of School
Course Schedules: Your class schedule is available to view on Parent Portal. As we work through schedule changes and class balancing, your student's schedule may change. Please check your course schedule on Monday evening before the first day of school in case of changes. We recommend that you print out the schedule or write it out, as students will not be able to check schedules on phones after 9:00 AM. Click HERE for a schedule template for the first four days that your student can use to assist them in finding their way to class on time!
Course Change Requests: We ask for your patience with our counseling and administration teams as we work through the course change requests. If your student has already submitted a request, please DO NOT submit the same request multiple times. We will honor the requests as we are able, but in many cases we cannot due to scheduling restraints. If we are able to make the change, you will see the new schedule in Parent Portal. If you do not see the change, it is due to one of the following reasons:
- The student does not meet the prerequisite for the requested course.
- The schedule does not permit the addition of the requested course due to lack of seats in the course or not fitting in the student schedule.
- The student took the prerequisite course during the summer but has not accepted the course credit to be added to the transcript.
- If your student took a course over the summer, you must follow the directions HERE to have the course posted to the transcript. The deadline for this is 8/21/25.
Please do not email us directly with schedule change requests. The form can be found on the AAI website.
First Day of School: Students will return to school on Tuesday August 5th for the 2025-26 school year. August 5th and 7th will be "A" days and August 6th and 8th will be "B" days. We will follow the ACTIVITY DAY bell schedule all of those days. Please plan accordingly. AAI Bell Schedules 2025-26
School Year Calendar: Please click on the link below to view this year's school calendar on the FCS website. This is for your planning purposes. Please make special note of the dates for midterm and final exams, as students may not take those exams early. We hope that you use this information to plan your travels and holidays.
Curriculum Night: We will host our annual Curriculum Night on August 14th so parents can meet their students' teachers and hear about each class. More details will be shared as the date draws closer.
Car Rider Line
- The school building will open at 8:00 AM. Please do not drop your student off too early, especially on cold/rainy days.
- Please follow the map above for drop off and pick up. Students may not exit/enter your car except in front of school. This is an important safety concern.
- Please continue to move all the way forward so we can make sure that the line moves as quickly as possible.
Updates from Forsyth County Schools
Distraction Free Education: Disconnect to Reconnect
This is an effort to reduce smart device distractions in schools. At Alliance Academy we support this initiative and look forward to working with our students and community as we encourage better, more meaningful engagement in our classes. Click HERE to read more about this initiative.
1:1 Chromebook Program
In alignment with the new Forsyth County Schools Distraction Free Education Policy, personal cell phones and smart devices will no longer be allowed for student use during the school day. By providing Chromebooks for middle school and high school students, we are ensuring that students have the appropriate tools for learning while reducing distractions and improving focus. Click HERE for more information.
At Alliance, all students will receive their Chromebook and charger during Activity time in the first week of school. Students must bring their CHARGED Chromebook to school each day as personal laptops or tablets are not allowed. The Chromebook charge should last at least the full school day, so students should leave the charger at home. Please make it part of your nightly routine to charge the Chromebook throughout the night.
Transportation Information
Students at Alliance have the option to ride the school bus from their neighborhood to the districted high school, and from there they can take the Alliance shuttle to AAI. Click HERE to check bus routes, etc.
Food and Nutrition Information
Alliance students love our cafeteria and our lunch ladies! Click HERE to learn more about FCS Food and Nutrition.
Back to School Information
Back to School
School Supply Lists: Since every student's schedule is different, we do not publish specific school supply lists. Your teachers will share what you will need for each class during the first week of school.
Dress for Success/Industry: Once per month, our students participate in Dress for Success and Dress for Industry Days. These are on Wednesdays and students receive a grade in their pathway classes for participating. This is one of the ways that we prepare our students for their success in the future. Please see the graphic below for this year's Dress for Success and Dress for Industry days. CTAE teachers will share their expectations for those days during the first few weeks of classes.
Pathway Polos: Please consider purchasing an industry pathway polo shirt for your student to wear on Dress for Industry days. Visit https://stores.inksoft.com/allianceacademy/shop/home to purchase.
Nurse Announcements
School Pay: Please log in to your School Pay account (or create one if you haven't yet!) and pay for parking, lockers, PE uniforms, etc. If you have paid for a locker or parking pass, your student can stop by the main office during the first week of school to get their locker combination or parking tag.
