We are now at the halfway point of Term 1, and what a fantastic and busy term it has been so far! There’s been a real sense of energy and engagement across the school, and it has been wonderful to see our students thriving in their learning, sports, and cultural activities. As we move into the second half of the term, I wanted to share some of the exciting events and key dates coming up, as well as a few reminders to help us all finish the term strong

Linewize Pulse Linewize Pulse

Today our Year 3-8 students had their first opportunity to check-in on the Pulse site. Students get to choose from 5 preset responses ranging from feeling great to needing some help. If the students respond that they need help they are then given a staff list and they can select the staff member that they want to reach out to and we connect with them at a later time that day (or the next if need be). Students that aren't needing help have the opportunity to respond to a range of other questions and then at the end of their check-in they are able to send gratitude to any other student or staff member to give them a positive boost...it's very cool. Students must check-in weekly on a Tuesday but also have the option to check-in as often (no more than once a day) as they want. Below is some parent information that you might find useful.

Celebration

After a lot of planning, fundraising and preparation, we were really excited to officially open our Foosball and Pétanque areas. This has been a big project for our awesome PTA and it was really cool to see the first games being played as part of our opening.

We were also joined by our former principal, Mr Johnson and Mr Rasmussen who initiated this great idea for our students. Wonderful to also have past pupils, Alice and Jayden as part of the opening games as well as Rick and Jing from Te Aroha Four Square.

Our school would like to thank the following sponsors and people for making this project happen

- our PTA

- Gazz from Ultimate Bobcat Services Ltd

- Four Square Te Aroha

- Te Aroha Credit Union

- Mr Rasmussen and Mr Melrose for the many hours spent working on this project

- all the sponsors and supporters of the PTA Bingo night and Duck Day in 2024.

Our students are so very lucky!

Kia tu Kia toa Kia mau - accept the challenge
